Notes for Jacques Amable (Peltier) Pelletier

James Peltier narrated his recollections of the war of Pontiac to General Cass, who put it in writing. This was utilized by Parkman in his history of Pontiac. (Genealogy of the French Families of the Detroit River Region, 1701-1936, page 950)

Jaques Peltier is mentioned in the Survey of the Settlement of Detroit made by order of major Depeyster the 16 day of July 1782. (Source Michigan Pioneer Collections, Volume 10, 1886, pg. 609)
In household: 1 married woman, 2 young and hired men, 3 boys, 3 girls, 1 female slave, 4 horses, 3 cows, 1 steers and heiffers, 7 1/2 bushes of wheat sown.
