William (nicknamed "Bill") (see photo 11 in Colbert family photographs) was in charge of accounting at Northern States Power (NSP). Bill and Gertrude (nicknamed "Gertie") had a lake home on Clear Lake, which was the sight of numerous summer family get togethers. (See photos 18 and 21 of the Colbert family photographs)

His funeral was held at the O'Brien Zoff Funeral Home in St. Paul, MN. He had a paper route with his brother John "Jack". His Social Security Number was issued in Minnesota.
