Notes for Michael Fleissner

See photograph of Albersdorf, Austria (now a part of Germany). Michael was born in either Albersdorf or Albertsille, Austria. The source reads "near forest" and German-Austrian Border. He came to America in 1882 at age 18 with two brothers, George age 16 (settled in Milwakee) and John age 17 (settled in Kansas City). A third brother, Joseph stayed in Austria. Special Note: One source says that John stayed behind in Germany/Ausria and Joseph was the one to go to America and settle in Kansas City, MO. The first source says "Whole life (in Austria) was military/war at time". He learned the cabinetmaking trade in Austria, and worked for the railroad in America near St. Paul, MN. George and John also worked for the railroad. The three major railroad hubs at the time were St. Paul, Kansas City, and Milwakee. He was a member of the St. Peter and Clement Society and St. Martinus Ct. C.O.F.
