As some of you may figure out from the pictures above. I am a Correctional Officer employed by the NSW Department of Corrective Services. I was instructed during my primary training to be proud of my profession and my uniform, And I AM. The pictures and video were taken WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and published in print, on TV and on the Web all well beyond my control and IF the media had bothered to ask permission to take them or display them I would have said NO! The pictures are now part of history and on the public record. The images are NOT Departmental Information and are NOT to be mistaken as such. The responsibility for their existence lies solely with the "MEDIA".
My job is a big part of my life. I have put a lot into the job and my commitment to the job has cost me dearly at times. I am proud of my professional career and of what I do. I have also gained a great deal of experience during my long service career. As such I am justified to publish the fact of my employment, for what it is, a large part of what is me. AND ONLY THAT FACT IS PUBLISHED SIMPLY FOR WHAT IT IS, A FACT. IT IS NOT PUBLISHED TO GIVE THE IMPRESSION ANYTHING ON THIS WEB SITE HAS THE SUPPORT OR APPROVAL OF MY DEPARTMENT.
