A festival based on the roots of the town of which its name was derived. The features are: cultural street, parade, exhibits, sailboat race, beauty pageant, fiesta celebration and sports activities.

Nationwide

A nationwide observance of the country's Independence from foreign domination.

Kawit, Cavite

Re-enactment of the historic Proclamation of the Philippine Independence is done at the mansion of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo, the first President of the Philippine Republic.

Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Cebu City

Civic military parade and program supplemented by socio-civic activities.  A celebration that focuses on Cebu's Heroes of the Revolution with lectures on the "Re-inventing of History for Posterity to understand its roots" and "The Museum and History, a new interactive approach to learning, an enriched view."

Marked by flag raising ceremony, wreath laying at the monuments of National Heroes Hill, San Fernando and grand parade showcasing historical vignettes.

June 12 BARANGAYAN FESTIVAL
Cebu City

A parade of floats depicting the Filipino struggle for freedom from pre-Spanish to EDSA revolution. A float parade and a barangayan street dancing highlights the affairs, participated in by the different Barangay contingents depicting selected historical events in a dance drama at the end of the civic parade.

June 12 SILAY CHARTER ANNIVERSARY
Silay City

The city marks its founding anniversary. The Freedom Day Celebration culminates on June 12. It features agro-industrial-carnival fair, cultural showcases, laro ng bayan, civic programs, multisectoral parade and float competition.

Charter Anniversary of Cotabato City. Events slated are Layang-Layang (kite) festival, Drum and Bugle Corps Competition. Fluvial Parade, Banca Race, sports Competition, Civic-Military Parade, the selection of Mutya Ng Kutabato and "Sanlahi Kalilang" Street Dancing Parade Contest.

Iriga City

The annual fiesta is celebrated in honor of St. Anthony of Padua, whom fellow Franciscan Frays Bartolome Ruiz and Pablo de Jesus installed as Iriga’s Patron Saint in 1683 when it became a municipality.

In celebration of the 31st Foundation Anniversary of Agusan del Sur. It is a six-day socio-cultural and arts exposition of the indigenous tribes in the entire Agusan Valley. It depicts the Agusanon culture and heritage. Natives from the hear of far-flung places of the province display their skills and gracefulness in dancing as part of their ritual activities.

June 23 CALUMPIT "LIBAD" FESTIVAL
Calumpit, Bulacan

It is celebrated June 23, the day before the fiesta. A fluvial procession is held on the river with a decorated pagodas of every barrios. While in the procession, the people dance and "Basaan" is also done in honor of the patron saint, St. John the Baptist.

June 24 PARADA NG LECHON
Balayan, Batangas

Roasted pigs known as "lechons" are costumed and decorated, and are paraded around town, afterwhich they are declared fair game for everyone. Feast of St. John the Baptist. Visitors are welcomed by the townsfolk with a generous dousing.

June 24 REGADA (WATER FESTIVAL)
Cavite City

In honor of Nuestra Señora de Porta Vaga Sprinklers are installed at the City’s street so that revelers get a shower.

June 24 TAONG-PUTIK
Bibiclat, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija

Taong-putik sprang from a unique practice of the devotees of Saint John the Baptist in Bibiclat, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija. Their bodies are completely covered with mud and adorned with vines, banana leaves or dried coconut leaves. The ritual starts as the curtain of the early dawn rises on June 24 - as the streets of Bibiclat becomes the stage for the unfolding of the performance of the devotees of the Fiesta ni San Juan Bautista. They ask aims and candles from the people and offering them at the Church during the special mass celebrated at 7:00 in the morning.

"PARADA NG LECHON": Garbed in creative costumes and disguises, "Lechons" are paraded around the town in the accompaniment of gay chanting and "buhusan" a customary practice during the San Juan Bautista feast; a selection of the best from among the number of entries follows and a free-all banquet is open to the townsfolk and visitors alike.

Street Dancing Event: Ati-Atihan Festival but with variety like dancers-young and old-dressed in leaves variety like dancers- young and old-dressed in leaves of different kind.
CARABAO PARADE: "Beasts of burden" adorned with costumes so creatively and artistically designed, and paraded around the town to the folks' admiration; the Best-Fashioned awarded afterwards.

June 29-30 & July 1 PINTAFLORES FESTIVAL
San Carlos City, Negros Occidental

A colorful and lively street dancing and dance rituals performed by dancers with tattoos and painting of flowers on their faces, arms and bodies. The originality and gracefulness of the dancers make the festival a must see for tourists and locals alike, celebrated simultaneously with the Charter Anniversary of the City.
