What do I say? Comments

Well, here we are.
Another month, another day, another suicide bomb. The Palestinians have
shouted this claim and that claim, and the world has given ear. Has the
world gone mad? Possibly. But is the folly ending?
Israel and The Leash
Every time I hear about
a suicide attack, my heart aches. Another 5 killed and 40 injured,
another bus blown up, more school children brutally murdered by these
madmen.
What does Israel do in
retaliation? Nothing. Israel does not lift a finger.
Has Jewish blood grown so cheap, that even the Israelis do nothing to
avenge the deaths of their citizens?
The answer is, of course not. There is a leash around the neck of
whomever happens to be in the Knesset at the time, a leash around the
president, a leash around the entire political and military system of
Israel.
This leash happens to be held by whomever is in office in the White
House at the time.
Israel is being restrained by Washington, again and again. It is
Washington who hold on to the flimsy straws of hope they call peace. In
Israel, peace with the Palestinians is no synonymous with the word
"joke". Who ever heard of a "peace" like the one
which exists every so often in Israel? Not I.
No one else in the world would tolerate the type of "peace"
that the Palestinians "offer". Not the British with the IRA,
not the Russians, not the French and certainly not the USA. But Israel
does. Why? The Leash.
I shudder to think what would happen to the IRA should they carry out
the same operations as the Palestinians, and offer the same
"peace" to the British, as the Palestinians offer to the
Israelis. Do you think the Brits would send one helicopter armed with
some missiles to knock out an empty building? I think not! After all the
deliberations in parliament to figure out who is paying for what bit of
the operation, the British armed forces would move into Ireland in no
time, to seek and destroy the terrorists.
This is precisely what Israel should do, but does not. Why? The Leash.
Israel is fighting a war
on two fronts: political and military. The Palestinians are very good at
waving Nazi flags with Stars of David on them and using the magical
phrase: "help, we are victims!"
They are very good at being portrayed as the pursued, rather than
pursuer. But lets face it: if they had been in any other country, they
would no longer be on the face of the Earth. But they are in Israel, and
why? Of course, The Leash.
Undoubtedly, the Israelis
need practice with the political side of things to further their
military campaigns, or to see if there was any sudden change of heart
from the Palestinians, and accept a "peace" agreement.
However, until then, The Leash remains firmly tired to the neck of the
Israeli leaders, and in the hands of The White House.
What I want to know is this:
Has Washington
realised that they are being messed about by this constant peace, bomb,
peace, bomb pattern the Palestinians have created? Will they slacken
their grip on The Leash? Will they allow Israel to take care of their
own people in their own land?
It waits to be seen.
