What do I say?
I have a great
difficulty. I would like to know, what exactly is Palestine? Have
they really been there for thousands of years? If so, wouldn't it
be correct, just to give them their land back, and stop the
horrific deaths that occur day in, day out, in Israel? Ok, so
Israel would be under Arab dominion, and called
"Palestine" once more. Is that so hard a price to pay
for the stopping of so many deaths?
First things first:
What Exactly Is Palestine?
Palestine was the name of the territory under British rule, that we now know and love as Israel. Inside Palestine, lived Arabs and Jews. No, no Palestinians. Those days were hard, poverty and starvation was widespread and disease rife. No Israelis existed at that time, no Palestinians, only Jews and Arabs. So, Palestine is really just a name that the British referred to the Holy Land by, nothing more.
Have The Palestinians Been There for Thousands of Years?
The short answer: No.
The Palestinians that we hear so much about today were not, in fact, residing there for any large amount of time. The Ancient Philistines (not Palestinians!) resided on the West Coast, and frequently attacked Israel through Skirmishes, until they had the entire land under their rule. The Jews of yore greatly suffered during this time. Arose Samuel, and declared war against these Philistines (See Samuel 1 and 2). He started off the revolution against these ancient Philistines, until Israel reclaimed what was theirs.
What happened to these Philistines, you may ask. They were wiped out when King David became king, after Saul. The Bible mentions the death of Saul and his sons during a battle with these Philistines. When Davi became king, he recaptured the lands of the Philistines and conquered Jerusalem - then not under his control. The Philistines were most likely wiped out at this time.
These modern Palestinians are not descended from the Ancient Philistines (now a word used to denote an uncultured person). They are Arabs, from Jordan (except Arafat, who was born in Cairo, Egypt).
Jews under Arab Dominion?!
If the Jews were ever to live under Arab dominion today, the Jews would suffer terribly at the hands of this mad, Jew-hating culture. It would be foolish for any Jew to stay long under any Arab rule. The Jews of Iraq and Iran have largely moved out of the said countries, but these countries are not actually Arab countries. They are not referred to as Arabs, but Iraqis and Iranians. They are Arians.
