THIS EVENT WILL BE PLAYED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE USAB DIRECTIVE THAT ALL CLASSICS CONFORM TO THE IBF TRIAL SCORING SYSTEM.

Venue: NOTE CHANGE OF VENUE Kinetix Sports & Racquet Club Rte 363 & Germantown Pike.Pennsylvania. 610-539-6700 Meals and refreshments available. Hot, cold food, snacks and drinks. All events will be held in the main facility.

Events: MS, WS, MD, WD, MXD (played in A & B/C divisions) and Senior MD, with consolation rounds in all events. Entries in events will be restricted to a nominal 16 teams per event & division based upon first come first served.

Prizes: "A" Division prize purse is provided by USA Badminton through the Northeast Region.

Eligibility: (NOTE New Rules) Open to players who are members of USA Badminton (or their National Association for non USA resident entrants). Membership must be current at the time of playing. Annual Tournament Only memberships ($15.00) may be purchased as part of the entry. 

Registration & Fees: The entry fee is $19.00 for the first event and $16.00 per event thereafter, per person. Paid entries will take precedence over unpaid entries should an event be oversubscribed. Entrants will be accepted on a first come basis based upon postmark date. To qualify, entries from BOTH partners in doubles events are required, the later partners entry date will determine the entry date. At the tournament director's discretion late entries may be accepted if an event is still open after the deadline. Any such late entries may be subject to a $10 per event per person surcharge. Events may be closed prior to the deadline if a large number of entries for an event are received. To enter complete this application and mail with all applicable Fees to Adrian Smith, 115 Cedar Street, Jenkintown PA 19046, no later than 14th February 2002. Checks payable to "Mid-Atlantic Classic".

Overseas (including Canada and Mexico) Entrants: are required to enter through their National Association.

Shuttles: Yonex feather shuttles will be provided.

Approximate Schedule of Events: 
Friday, March 1st Registration / Warm-up 4:00pm; WS 5:00pm; MS 7:00pm

Saturday, March 2nd Registration / Warm-up 8:00am; "B/C" MD & WD 8:30am; "A" MD & WD 10:00am MXD & Snr. MD 4:00pm. Tournament party TBD. (see website for details). A Semi Finals will commence at 7:00pm (subject to entry size and final schedule)

Sunday, March 3rd A Finals, 10.00am (Order to be determined by finalists).

Lodging & Transportation: Regrettably there will be no courtesy transportation at this years Mid Atlantic Classic.

Directions:

FROM PA Turnpike: Exit 25 Norristown. Go West on Germantown Pike for 6 miles to Rte 363 (Valley Forge Rd.). Turn Left onto 363 and immediately right into the Kinetix Parking lot.

FROM 476 South (PA Turnpike NE extension): Exit onto PA turnpike West. Exit immediately at PA Turnpike Exit 25.  See above.

FROM 476 North (Old “Blue” Rte): Bypass Toll plaza to the right but stay in the left lane. (Right lane will take you to Germantown Pike EAST). At the light (Plymouth Rd.) turn Left onto Plymouth Rd. At the next light turn Right onto Germantown Pike WEST. Go 6 miles to Rte 363 (Valley Forge Rd.). Turn Left onto 363 and immediately right into the Kinetix Parking lot.
