Midori no Gakuen's hope:
All students acquire total education in education

We think that the pursuit of Japanese language education should not be a hindrance to student's academic performance at their schools. So our emphasis is placed on how naturally our children are exposed to Japanese language and accompanying culture so that they can learn Japanese useful to their daily life and their future.

Midori no Gakuen offers two distinct types of classes: classes for students who mainly use Japanese at home and classes for students who most, or all, of the time use English at home.

For those who use Japanese at home, at the elementary level, the students are placed in classes that are the most suitable to their level of understanding. With carefully selected materials that include textbooks used in Japan, they learn language skills of basic to intermediate level. In junior high and high school levels, application of advanced language skills and deeper understanding of Japanese culture that underlies Japanese language are more emphasized. The class is designed for not only language skill acquisition but also appreciation of Japanese culture, traditional and contemporary.

For the students who use English at home, emphasis is placed mainly on practicality. Being exposed to Japanese culture and community, students enjoy learning Japanese. Various kinds of materials, some of which are developed by Midori no Gakuen, and effort to have students exposed to traditional cultural events are making it possible for students to learn Japanese naturally.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you have serious interest in having your children learn Japanese.
