Redfern - Charlotte Emmerson
A school friend of Cully's, Hayley is confident and stylishly dressed and shows
no sign of being a former inmate of the Waverley refuge for disaffected
teenagers.
Martin Barrett - Grant Masters
An outwardly polite and unprepossessing man with short back and sides and a
tweedy jacket. Barrett works as a wages clerk for the local council.
Jack Fothergill - Sam Kelly
Jack is landlord of The Plough inn at Morton Fendle. He's well educated but is
the black sheep of a good family.
Ruby Wilmott - Julia McKenzie
Ruby is in her 60s and is cleaning lady to half the houses in the village. She
also cleans at The Plough.
Richard Florian - Rob Edwards
A geologist by training with a background in the oil industry, Richard is
confident and not easily ruffled. He lives in Morton Fendle and keeps a boat at
Fennecombe Bay.
Margaret Florian - Christine Kavanagh
Richard's wife Margaret is pretty but more nervy than her husband. She
frequently looks unwell.
Sir John Waverley - Paul Freeman
A farmer and widower, Sir John once ran his house as a refuge for teenagers.
He's chairman of the police committee and a candidate for High Sheriff of
Midsomer.
Peter Hatchard - Dermot Crowley
Peter is an affable man, a former Hong Kong policeman who's now running a fish
stall at Fennecombe Bay and helps man the lifeboat.
Carol Hatchard - Polly Hemingway
Friendly Carol helps run the fish stall with her husband Peter.
Billy - Arthur Kohn
Billy is Sir John Waverley's farm manager.
Reg - Derek Hutchinson
Reg is the milkman at Morton Fendle and is the eyes and ears of the village.
Ted - Frank Mills
In his 60s, Ted is a regular customer at The Plough.
