Introduction to The Tapestry
The Tapestry takes the Midway Prep story to an entirely new level as several of the core characters move forward in time several years to the summer right before graduation. Now, all new adventures, both exciting and dangerous, await them, and their spirits will all be tested as some of those who were closest to them betray them, and they end up forming alliances with people they never would have expected.
Take Mel, for instance. For years, he has been friends with Shannon, Christian, Summer, and Scarlett; however, he now has to choose between his friendship and his ambitions, which makes for a difficult decision.
Those who have long been viewed as the "good guys" start going bad as their patience is tested. Now, their own credibility is challenged as more and more about the scandal Mel is following is uncovered. Shannon and newcomer Eve both seem to be protecting each other, but why? None of that may end up mattering as Eve's neurotic sister Nerissa may end up taking care of both of them before they can say "homicide."
All Christian and Summer ever wanted was a happy, stable relationship. However, a series of misunderstandings and mysterious circumstances sends one of them over the edge, leaving their relationship teetering in the balance.
Scarlett betrays a group of friends she has been close to for years for another friend, and the consequences end up being much more widespread than she thought. After years of recovery, she thought she could handle it, but it will take the help of a couple of diehard friends and a resilient spirit to get her through one of the toughest trials of her life.
Cliff is having strange dreams about people in the most unlikely of situations. What's causing these frightening horror shows? And why is Cliff being followed?
Kim thinks that the only thing she has to worry about is finding a date for every single social event at Midway Prep, but that may turn out to be the least of her worries when a young man from her past rises from the ashes to exact his revenge.
Mason has noticed that a good friend of is changing, and not for the better. It's left up to him to decide whether to betray his friendship and lose one of his best friends forever, or to potentially save the lives of many others.
Rusty, Gemini, and Sharon are sent on an adventure in which they encounter a long-gone friend from the past. Rusty's dangerous obsession with another character threatens to take over his life, while Gemini's vendetta against another intensifies to the point of driving her to her limits. Sweet Sharon would seem the most likely to be at the center of a dangerous game of intrigue, but at Midway Prep, anything's possible...
Chloe isn't too peachy when she returns home to malicious rumors circulating about her and a young man from her past. Despite trying to ignore them and continue with her peaceful mission in life, people begin to get to her, and Midway Prep sees a Chloe that it never did before.
Tick enters the fray as a seemingly harmless waif, but he turns out to play a most pivotal role. The lives of several Midway Prep students are in his hands, but will he be able to overcome his social incompetency and save the day?
Not if Enya and Voir have anything to say about it. Long buried in the annals of Midway Prep history, they are back and with leverage this time. All of the emotional goings-on take a backseat when they come center stage. A strange tapestry seems to be having strange effects on the denizens of the school, yet no one knows the cause.
