Episode 49: Scene Six
"You know what?" Francesca broke through the silence that had fallen between Allan and her.
"What?"
"Let's not even think about this anymore. Let's think about what we want to do on this glorious day. I mean, we have no school to worry about and all the time in the world to spend time together. Do you want to head down to Jax's?"
Allan's eyebrows came together apologetically. He loosened his grip on Francesca's shoulder. "I'm sorry, babe, but I have to head up to the school to finish some student council work. My school year won't be over for about another week or so."
Francesca stopped abruptly. "But Allan, we were supposed to head over to Kay's for a party. Don't tell me you've forgotten!"
"No, of course I haven't. I'll probably be finished with my work by six anyways, so I'll still be ready to escort you. You don't mind going with a lovestruck teenage boy, do you?"
Francesca gave Allan a peck on the cheek. "You know that's the way I like 'em, baby."
"Ooh," Allan moaned, getting into Francesca's seductive tone. "Be careful, now. I don't want us to, um, do anything we might regret."
Francesca gave Allan a playful smack on the shoulder before wrapping her arms around him. "You know what?"
"What?" Allan looked down into Francesca's eyes.
"I love you."
"Ah," Allan smiled and hugged Francesca close to him, "I love you, too. And don't worry about going away. We have plenty of days and nights ahead of us, so you just keep your pretty head clear of those thoughts."
Francesca let her head rest on Allan's chest. "God, I must be the luckiest girl on earth to have a guy like you. I won't lose you, Allan. I won't."
