Episode 62: Scene Six
Karen gave her photographer a nasty look behind his back, but Jade managed to catch it.
"Uh oh. What happened?" she asked.
"Hmm, let's see. First, he couldn't make up his mind as to how he wanted me to sit on the stupid stool, then he kept changing my chin angle until I was ready to scream, and then he screwed up taking the first picture so he had to take another. That man is a complete idiot when it comes to photography."
"Retract the claws, Karen. It's over," Jade laughed, then put an arm around Karen's shoulder. "We are officially freshwomen, girl!"
"Freshwomen?" Kendall laughed as he came up behind the two friends. "Yet another-"
"Don't say it! Just walk away and mind your own business!" Jade snapped, then turned back to her friend. "Don't you just hate it when people stick their nose into places where they don't belong?"
"Now it's your turn to retract the claws. One day, when Kendall ends up murdered, I'm going to know who to come looking for," Karen grinned at her friend before walking towards the door.
"I thought we said we were going to tour the building," Savannah said, though she really wasn't in the mood for it.
Karen pointed towards the large crowd of people trying to get up and down the halls. "Do you see that? We'll suffocate if we even try to get past them."
Shannon nodded in understanding. "That's true."
"I say we just go back to the dorms and relax before they do the new roommate lists," Tanner said, untucking his plaid overshirt. "These clothes are really cramping my style."
"Yeah, whatever," Kendall slapped his friend on the back then loosened his own shirt.
"Well, we've finally done it," Marlo smiled and moved closer to Kendall.
"Done what?" Jade's voice was nasty and condescending.
"We've made it into high school. I'm sure that this is going to be one year that will truly be," Marlo paused to look up into Kendall's eyes, "unforgettable."
