Michigan's Adventure

Michigan's Adventure is located in Muskegon Michigan and has 6 roller coasters including the awesome Shivering Timbers.

First off is Shivering Timbers,  it was built in 1998 by Custom Coasters International.  It stands 125 feet tall with a 120 foot drop.  What makes in really neat however is it's length of 5,384 feet long.  From this viewpoint, it seems to go on forever.

The massive lift hill with the giant structure.  Shivering Timbers ends in a helix which you can see to you right.

If your in the back row you are almost flung out of your seat on the first drop.

A closer view of the last picture.

Shivering Timbers runs right along next to park of the parking lot and is one of the first things you upon entering.

After half a mile you go into the turnaround.

After this double up you go into the trick track element in which the car jolts to the left and right.

As you near the end,  you go through the structure of the first drops and you get some nice head chopper effects.

Mad Mouse is a 1999 Arrow Dynamics steel mouse coaster.  It stands 58 feet tall and is 1,257 feet long.

Like other mouse roller coasters it has unbanked tight turns which push you to the side.

The largest drop is 30 feet.  This drop goes right next to the exit path.

Corkscrew is another Arrow Dynamics roller coaster at Michigan's Adventure.  It was built in 1979 and is 1,250 feet long.  It has a very basic layout,  it drops, turns goes into a double corkscrew, and turns into the station.

The first drop is 65 feet.

Wolverine Wildcat was built in 1988 by Dinn and Summers.  It is 80 feet high, has a 72 foot drop, and is 3,000 feet long.  Like many of the Dinn and Summers roller coasters this one recently got retracked mostly in the areas with the smaller hills.

Unlike the out and back style of Shivering Timbers which looms in the background of this picture,  Wildcat is a double out and back which goes back and fourth twice.

My favorite part of this coaster is the double up double down that you can see through the lift hill.

Zach's Zoomer is a family coaster built by Custom Coasters International in 1994.  It is 41 feet tall, 1,400 feet long, and has the tight squeeze of Junior PTC trains.  Even though it's still somewhat new it is an ACE classic coaster.  The ride to the right is the new Be-bop BLVD car ride.

Lastly the last coaster is Big Dipper which was built by Chance rides in 1999.  It is 17 feet high and 350 feet long.

Luckily they have a lap bar because for some reason my seat belt kept on falling off during the ride.

Trabant is the red spinning ride in the front and the Tilt-A-Whirl is in the back.  Above is Logger's Run and in the distance is Shivering Timbers.

The Flying Trapeze is a slightly smaller version of the Water Swing at Indiana Beach and it doesn't go over water.

After many winding turns, you finally get to the main drop of Logger's Run.

Thunderbolt is like the Flying Bobs at Indiana Beach except it has different themeing.

Just added is Dodgem which is a classic bumper car ride that came from Cedar Point.

Adventure Falls is your average modern version of a shoot the Chutes flume.

This is the Giant Gondola Wheel which is a mirror image of the wheel at Indiana Beach.

Hydroblaster is a not so wet water slide that you don't need to have a swimsuit to ride.

The Falling Star is a ride that gives you many different kinds of g forces like a roller coaster but is in flat ride form.

Sea Dragon is the final ride of the journey.  It is neat because it is built on a Peninsula inside a little lake.
