Popple River, WI
Fence, WI (20 miles WSW of Iron Mountain, MI)

Little Bull Falls (1-2' pourover)
The run on the lower Popple starts (just downstream of the gauge and put-in) with Little Bull Falls. This short, curved ledge drops into a shallow boiling pool, but should cause boaters no problem at most water levels.

Big Bull, left side (grungy 4' pitch) Big Bull, right side (decent double ledge)
The other named drop on the first part of this run is Big Bull Falls. An island splits the river. The left side (pictured above left) is a grungy four-foot pitch . The right side (above right) steps down two short ledges into the pool below.

Washburn Falls
The lower part of the run contains the two best drops. Washburn Falls (pictured above left) is a sweet, long (for this run) sequence of ledges and slides. At good boatable water levels (vidcap being at summer minimums), this should provide some play opportunities.
