Many boaters pay far too little attention to where the nearest facility may be for emergency medical attention, until something happens requiring it. Knowledge of the location of nearest medical facility can be an important "safety item" to have. While many areas have implemented '911' service, there certainly are occasions which may not need THAT call, but still require emergency attention. I have chosen to attempt assemblage of such facilities which are in proximity to rivers of whitewater interest. This list is by no means comprehensive, nor does it constitute endorsement for said facilities. I (thankfully) have not had to make use of any of them, so I cannot speak first-hand regarding their services.
