Caribbean Curly Tail Lizard

Size: 7" - 9"
Natural Habitat:
This terrestrial lizard occupies the open woodland
and forest habitats with that provide hillsides.
When kept captive, adults require a 15 gallon enclosure.
Behavior:
Males can become territorial, separate from other males.
Hyperactive and hard to hold.
This species is diurnal.
Captive Evironment:
Use full spectrum lighting 12-14 hours per day.
Provide a basking area with access to a cooler zone.
Provide rocky basking areas, likes crevices and caves.
Temperature:
Day temperature should be gradient from 82 to 90 degrees F.
Maintain night temperature range between 74-78 degrees F.
Use reptile heating pads under tank for 24-hour heat.
Humidity:
This species requires moderate to high levels of humidity.
Water Requirements:
Provide a large shallow bowl for drinking and soaking.
Mist enclosure every other day.
Nutitional Requirements:
This species is a carnivore (meat eater). Always offer a
variety for proper nutrition. Also eats wax & meal worms.
Eats variety of small worms such as black or tubifex.
Dust food such as crickets with calcium and vitamins.
