![]() This was in Joe's Diner in a little town called Hillier. |
Day two quickly took away all our fantasies of a simple little bike trip. The weather got ugly. We stopped at Joe's Diner for lunch. If you look carefully, you'll notice Glenn is soaked. It rained, a lot. We rode the entire day soaking wet. We didn't sleep at all that night, because we were too wet to stop moving, and our sleeping gear was soaked too. The journal entries became a little muddled for a few days, and this reflects our lack of sleep. We travelled along Highway 37 through little towns until we reached Kingston. |

The same day, we dicovered we were riding on the oldest road in Ontario. I cared.... a lot.
We rode along the Loyalist Parkway too. That was exciting. The highlight of our day would have
been riding through the bustling metropolis of Picton. What a town. I almost never left. Sometime during the day we discovered that Glenn's left pedal was falling off. Thankfully we had a toolkit with us. It was complete with some tubes for the tires, a screw driver, and a hammer, all really useful items for fixing a loose bolt. How did we fix this loose bolt? We went to the local Canadian Tire and they fixed it for us, of course. |
