The Center Section

It all starts here. This picture shows the center section main and aft spars secured in the assembly jig. This can be a tedious operation!
The picture on the left shows the center section ribs and bulkhead drilled and temporarily fastened. The picture on the right shows the completed rib and bulkhead installation.
These two pictures show the upper skin riveted in place. The two outermost angles in part attach the fuselage skin to the wing. The two inner angles attach a control tunnel. In this view the front of the airplane is up.
This is a profile view of the top skin and attach angles. The two pieces perpendicular to the center section are fuselage bulkheads. These also attach the fuselage to the wing.
The picture on the left is an 'inside' view of the junction of the left fuselage attach rib and aft bulkhead. The picture on the right is an 'inside' view of structure supporting the wing-walk area.
This is a view of the center section with the bottom skin riveted on. At this point the center section is complete and ready to be removed from the fixture.
On the left is a shot of the aileron pushrod support bearing. On the right is the flap pushrod attachment at the flap end. The flap arm sticks through the baggage floor skin and is hidden by the control tunnel.
Here is a close-up of the right main gear with the brake installed.
