The Wing

The picture on the left is a main spar primed and ready for assembly. The picture on the right is one of the main spars assembled.
The picture on the left is a close-up of an assembled main spar. The picture on the right is an end view of a wing attach fitting.

You may have noticed that some of the metal isn't painted. This is
because the area forward of the main spar will be used to carry fuel (wet wings).

The picure to the left is of the two aft wing spars. The picture to the right shows a close-up of a cut-out for the aileron pushrod.

The dark green piece with the yellow bands is the aft center section spar.

16 June, 2000 - Both main spars are completed. Both aft spars are ready for priming. I am currently working on the aft center section spar.
27 September, 2000 - Both aft spars are primed and assembled. Wing assembly is on hold until the fuselage is complete.
