Welcome to Dansm's Acoustic Song Page! My name is Dan Smith, I'm a first-year grad student at Harvard, and I've been playing guitar for 5 years now. My musical interest centers around the 70's fingerpickers: James Taylor, John Denver, and Jim Croce. There aren't any pages dedicated to such great acoustic music, so I decided to create one for you. This page encompasses all genres of music from the 60's through today: Simon & Garfunkel to Nirvana, with some Martin Sexton and Indigo Girls thrown in for good luck. It's here to show anyone how much acoustic music is out there for everyone to enjoy. And yes, I did single-handedly figure out more than 90% of the songs on this page. I hope you like what I have done. Make sure you check out some of my lessons listed below as well, because they will help you. Enjoy the songs!

I have a page of lessons on Guitar Scales, so check them out if you are interested in playing some lead. If you are confused about tab or chord notation, check out my page on Musical Notation. For chords you don't know how to play, check my List of Common Guitar Chords. These pages are helpful to all guitarists, so check them out. I have blank tab paper created in Microsoft Word 7.0, so download this, print it out, and figure out some songs (2K, pkzipped). If you want the tablature software I use for the tabs on all my tab pages, download tablature.exe (46K, PC only).
