     BROWNSVILLE -- Aug. 15 - - Deep gloom was cast over the village and
vicinity Monday morning, when it was learned that Mr. Benijah Brown had
passed away at five o'clock in his 79th year.
     Besides a sorrowing wife, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Sage of Calgary and
Mrs. Munroe of Detroit and four sons,
William of Toronto,
Frank of Port Colborne,
Edward of Venton Harbor and Henry of Brownsville. 
The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock from his late
residence. 
Interment at Delmer.

The funeral of the late Mr. B. M. Brown took place from his home on Wednesday
to Delmer cemetery, where a large number of relatives are buried.  Much
sympathy is felt for his sorrowing friends.
