The following from the Toronto Globe refers to a son of Rev. J. B. Moore of Delhi,
formerly of this town:
It is announced by the President of the Toronto Railway Co., that Mr. W. H. Moore has
been appointed to the important
position of assistant to the President.  The notices making this public were posted up in the barns
of the railway company on Saturday.  President Mackenzie has many other very important business
engagements especially as President of the Canadian Northern Railway Co. so that his time is fully occupied
and he is also frequently away from this city for several weeks at a time, hence the necessity for some
person to sit for him in connection with the railway's affairs.  Mr. Moore has for several
years acted in most important positions for Mr. Mackenzie.
