Jackson -- On Saturday, December 28, 1946, at his residence, Port Stanley, Dr. George H. Jackson, M.D., beloved husband of Mrs. Carrie Jackson; dear father of Mrs. W. A. Kennedy; brother of Miss Sarah Jackson, Mrs. George G. Smith and A. W. Jackson; after a short illness.  At rest at the family residence until Tuesday morning, when removal will be made to the P. R. Williams & Son funeral home, and the funeral will take place from there Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.  Entombment will be made in the St. Thomas Mausoleum.  In kindness, please omit flowers.

Pt. Stanley M.D., G. Jackson, Dies
ST. THOMAS, Dec. 29 -- George H. Jackson, M.D., of Port Stanley,
died at his residence there Saturday morning. 
Dr. Jackson had not been in good health for some time, but had been confined to
his house only two weeks.
Dr. Jackson was born at Omemee, Ontario, 76 years ago, son of Rev. George and Susan Jackson.  He graduated in medicine from Toronto University in 1897 and practiced at the village of Union until 1920 when he moved to Port Stanley.  He had been coroner for the district for a number of years.
For many years Dr. Jackson was a member of the Port Stanley village council.  He was a member of Port Stanley United Church and of St. Mark's Lodge, No. 92, where he was a past master.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Jackson; a daughter, Mrs. W. A. Kennedy, Ailsa Craig; two grandchildren, George Stewart and Carol Jennifer Kennedy; two sisters, Miss Sarah Jackson, Walkerville; Mrs. A. Smith, Detroit, and a brother, A. W. Jackson, Walkerville.
The body is resting at the family residence until Tuesday morning when removal will be made to the P. R. Williams and Son funeral home for services at 2:30 p.m..  Interment will be made in the St. Thomas Mausoleum.
