Vivian Williams Morton and Arthur Silver Morton Memorial Travel Scholarship

Value:  Up to a total value of $1,000
Number:  One or two
Conditions:  Offered annually to students who have completed a degree or at least three full years of university study concentrating in History, Anthropology, Political Studies or Native Studies.  The scholarships are to be used to assist the recipients in meeting the expenses of travel connected with a program of research.
Donor:  The Saskatoon Arts and Craft Society in memory of Vivian Williams Morton (B.A. '17, L.L.D. '62), co-founder of the Arts and Crafts Society and her husband Arthur Silver Morton, University of Saskatchewan's first Librarian (1914-40), Professor of History, and Head of the Department of History.
Apply:  Applicants for Morton Scholarships should write to the Head, Department of History, enclosing a 500-700 word description of their research program and travel plans, a brief budget, and the names of two referees who are prepared to support their application.
