United Church Ministers Pay Last Respects To Brother Minister
In the pulpit from which he led the congregation of Robinson United Church for three years, United Church ministers of the city honored the memory of Rev. C. W. Brown today.  The funeral service was held at 8 o'clock, and members of his former congregation and many other friends, paid tribute.
Rev. Dr. J. Bruce Hunter, pastor of the Metropolitan United Church, and representing Rev. T. Albert Moore, moderator of the General Council of the United Church of Canada, the executive of the General Council, and the London conference, spoke highly of the esteemed.
The palbearers were Rev. D. M. McCamus, Rev. W. A. Walden, Rev. H. T. Ferguson, Rev. A. M. Stuart, Rev. R. W. Ross and Rev. R. B. Ferris.
Rev. G. N. Hazen, of Centennial United Church, took charge of the service.  In the pulpit with him, and assisting in the service, were Rev. Walter Kitely, chairman of the Middlesex Presbytery, Rev. R. B. Ferris, president of the London Ministerial Association, Rev. D. N. McCamus and Rev. J. M. Finlay.
The regular church choir was in its place for the service, and Mrs. Ernest Tremeer gave a vocal solo.
A private service was held at the home, 458 Picadilly street, with Rev. Dr. Hazen and Rev. John Garbutt officiating.
Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
In his brief address, Rev. Dr. Hunter characterized Rev. Dr. Brown as a friend to all, a man of marked modesty, outstanding ability, who did justly, loved mercy and walked humbly with God.
Declaring that Dr. Brown had held the highest offices that any conference can bestow upon its members, he offered sympathy to the members of his family.
Rev. Dr. Brown died at his residence on Saturday evening in his 67th year after he contracted pneumonia.
