DEATH OF MRS. J. A. BROWN
The death occurred this morning, following an illness of about five weeks'
duration, of Mrs. J. A. Brown, mother of
Mrs. W. A. Elliott, Oxford Street.
Deceased was aged 78 years and had resided in Ingersoll with her daughter for
a term of about ten years.
Deceased was born in Quebec City, but was taken to Tillsonburg when a small child, where she lived for some time.  Later she went to Brownsville, where she resided for many years and was widely known up to the time of her removal to Ingersoll ten years ago.  Her husband predeceased her seventeen years ago.  Mrs. Brown was a member of the Baptist Church at Brownsville, and a regular attendant while health permitted.  She was known to quite a few in Ingersoll and with all she was held in the very highest esteem, because of her genial temperment and kindly disposition.  Besides her only daughter, Mrs. Elliott, she is survived by two sons, Calvin B. Brown of Aylmer, Ont., and Dr. George B. Brown of Portsmouth, Ohio.
The funeral (private) will be held from the residence of Mrs. W. A. Elliott, Oxford Street, on Friday afternoon to Delmer Cemetery.  Service at the house at two o'clock.
