A pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Margaret's Church yesterday afternoon, when Miss Edith Helen Brown, second daughter of the late Mr. P. J. Brown, Osgoode Hall, was married to Mr. Robert Whitfield Ralfe. The chancel was decorated with white flowers and palms, and some excellent music was given by Mr. Darby. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. Gordon Brown, and wore a dress of ivory white crepe de soie, with garniture of silk lace on the corsage, and a deep collar and pointed cuffs of the same. A long girdle, with tassels, was worn round the waist, and a long veil of beautiful Brussels lace was becomingly arranged over a coronet of orange blossoms and white heather. A large shower bouquet of roses was carried. Miss Ethel Finkle of Woodstock was maid of honor, in a white lace overdress on satin, with a picture hat of chiffon and plumes; she carried a cluster of pink carnations, with long tulle streamers. The bridesmaids, Miss Madeline Dewar and Miss Margaret Brown, wore gowns of Parisian pleated silk, with long sleeves, and picture hats, and carried bouquets of rose carnations. The flower girl, Miss Jean Thompson of Strathroy, was in white silk with large beaver hat. The best man was Mr. Shirley Warren, and the ushers were Capt. George B. Brown of the 58th (Vaughan's Rifles) and Mr. Elgin Myers. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs. Brown, in Cecil street, which was decorated entirely in white and green. Mr. and Mrs. Ralfe left soon after for Buffalo and New York, the bride's travelling gown being of castor cloth, with long coat, and a pretty toque of champignon beaver, and a touch of turquoise blue velvet: some rich furs were also worn.
