THIRZA ANN BROWN
The death occurred at her residence,
178 Clarence street, late last
night, of Thirza Ann Brown, widow of the late F. K. Brown.  The death came
quietly following a lingering illness.  Funeral arrangements had not
been completed this morning.

   The funeral of the late Thirza Ann Brown, widow of the late F. K. Brown,
was held from the family
residence on Saturday afternoon
to Oakwood cemetery, many friends of
the family attending the service paying tribute to a woman who for many years was well
known throughout the community.
   Rev. H. L. Merner was in charge of the service and the theme of his talk
took subject, "Faith."  He referred briefly to the faith during the many
years of illness of deceased and to her former work in church and Sunday school.
  During the service, Mrs. H. V. Betzner sang the solos, "Trust and Obey" and
"God Will Take Care of You."  Mrs. H. L. Merner accompanying her at the
piano.
   Many and beautiful floral tributes bore silent testimony to the sympathy
of a large circle of friends.  The floral tributes included those from the
J. O. T. class, Central United Church, and Mrs. Blanche Boneberg's class of
Central United Sunday school.
   The honorary pallbearers were O. L. Steele, O. B. MacDonald, J. E. Lynden,
W. J. Taylor, H. J. Mahaffey and J. R. Tuck.  The active pallbearers
were T. F. Murray, Robert Blackhall, F. Fulton, Cameron Campbell, Roy Boneberg and
J. M. Cameron.
