OBITUARY
DR. WILLIAM LORNE DEETON
  Brother of
Mrs. W. K. Brown, of
Ridgeway,
Dr. William Lorne Deeton, 47, for many years
a specialist in ear, nose and throat diseases, died suddenly of a heart attack on July 27, in
Cleveland, Ohio.
  Deaceased was the son of the late
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Deeton, of
Hanover, Ont., both of
whom resided in
Ridgeway for some number of years ago.  Dr. Deeton was a graduate in Medicine
of the
University of Toronto and a post-graduate of
New York University.
  For several years he served in the
Toronto General Hospital where he specialized in ear, nose and
throat diseases after which time he specialized for seven years at the
Crile Cleveland Clinic.  He
practised privately as a specialist at
Shaker Heights in
Cleveland.  Dr. Deeton was Captain of
the
Cleveland Greys.
  He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife,
Christina Graves, a son
James, and a sister,
Mrs. W. K. Brown of
Ridgeway.
  Funeral services were held in
Cleveland on July 30 where Dr. Deeton's body was cremated and the
remains taken to
Hanover where
interment took place at
the family plot.
  Burial services were conducted on Sunday by
Rev. Mr. Young, First Baptist Church, Hanover, and
Miss Holm sang "The Lord Prayer".
  A number of relatives and friends from the district attended the burial services, among them
Mrs. Blanche Tinkler, Mr. and Mrs. Brown,
and
Lorna, Bill and
Alan Brown.
