Port Colborne News W. R. DEETON IS CALLED BY DEATH
Fort Erie, Nov. 28 - William Richard Deeton, in his 67th year, died today at the home of his son-in-law, William K. Brown, after a brief illness, although he had previously been unwell for a long period. Mr. Deeton retired from active work several years ago as a travelling salesman for the Knechpel (Note: should be 'Knechtel') Furniture Company of Hanover with whom he had served for 20 years. He had resided in Fort Erie for about two and a half years, and previously lived in Port Colborne. The deceased was born in Plattsville, Ont. He was a member of the Masonic order and attended Memorial United church here. Survivors are his widow, Emma E.; a daughter, Mrs. W. K. Brown; and a son, Dr. Wm. L. Deeton of Cleveland, Ohio.

A private funeral service will be held from the home of W. K. Brown Friday afternoon with interment at Hanover, Ont.
