Following five days' illness with pneumonia, Miss Pearl Brown, of Aylmer, a graduate nurse of Victoria Hospital,
passed away in that institution last night.  Miss Brown was admitted to the hospital on Saturday,
October 12, and may be said to have given her life in the fight against the epidemic, having just brought
a patient suffering from the disease safely through.
Miss Brown is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Arthur Brown, of Aylmer; one brother,
Hugh, at home, and an uncle, Major G. W. Brown, M.O., C.E.F. Lieut.-Col. W. J. Brown, A.A.G., M.D. No. 1,
is a cousin.  The deceased nurse graduated in May last.
The funeral will take place this afternoon to the L. & P. S. depot for Aylmer, where interment will
take place on Sunday.
