Title: Boogie Nights
Chapter V
It was his first night and it was absolute hell.
He was too busy. He had to check on the bouncers every other five seconds. He had to make sure there weren't too many people crowding the bar. He had to make sure there was enough liquor. Had to make sure that if people were doing drugs, they were doing it discretely. He hated it.
And it was only his first day.
"Hey!" Justin was squeezing through the crowd, a bright smile on his face.
Jayce lifted a hand to signal Justin closer.
"Hey."
"Where have you been, I've been looking for you everywhere," Justin breathed,
waving to someone passing by.
"Yeah, I've been way too busy." He looked up and looked to the upstairs, watching as more people descended up it. He turned to Justin. "Why do you have your jacket on?"
Justin ran a hand over the silk. "I'm going out," he smiled and Jayce chuckled.
"You're already out, ass."
Justin rolled his eyes. "No, not to a club. There's this lounge, I think it's for like hippies. All you do is get high. It's hilarious." Justin had been expecting the look but those eyes turned hard towards him still freaked him out a bit.
"What are you going there for?"
"Angelo is going, I'm not gonna try anything, I promise. I just wanna hang out with him," he told Jayce, looking around for the young man. "Right there, that's Angelo."
Jayce looked and narrowed his eyes. The man was tall with gorgeous black eyes rimmed with glitter and his lips were curved into a sultry smile. He didn't know if he wanted Justin with this guy.
"Why don't... why don't yall just stay here, I mean, it's raining--"
"Jayce, I'll be ok. I know this guy, we'll be ok. I'll see you later tonight," he murmured and kissed Jayce, the older man grabbing a hold of Justin's neck to keep him there, his tongue searching and frantic as it passed through the other's lips.
Justin pulled away and panted, wiping his mouth. "What was that?" he asked, and though he was smiling, the confusion was bright in his eyes. Jayce shrugged and looked over to the exit, Angelo's eyes pinned on his. Justin saw it all.
"Shit, Jayce, forget that. I'll be home in a few hours. Later!" he called after him, sauntering over to the exit, Jayce's eyes pinned on the pair leaving but then, not a second later, were his eyes trained on the bar.

Jayce walked through the threshold of his apartment, dropping his jacket on the floor, going straight for bed. It was about five in the morning and every minute spent at the club had been torture, not like the regular nights they would spend at Raven's Glow.
They.
Jayce remembered Justin and smiled, opening the door to his bedroom, Justin spread out, snoring silently.
He undressed easily, slipping out his boots, his slacks falling to the ground with a shimmy, pulling off his shirts and then he was on top of Justin, the other man blinking awake.
"Good morning," Jayce smiled and Justin groaned, pinching his shoulder.
"You fucking woke me up, jive ass turkey," he grumbled before turning on his side, bringing Jayce's arm around him as he fell back to sleep.
But Jayce couldn't keep his eyes closed, his fingers playing with the tiny hairs around Justin's navel, soft skin beneath and every once in a while the blonde's eyelids would seize and his eyelashes would flutter, blonde moving rapidly.
Justin was a lot more gorgeous than people gave him credit for.
He licked his lips and Jayce moved forward, kissing the corner of Justin's mouth, whispering in his ear of nothing in particular, just something to soothe himself and eventually he went to sleep.

They were having sex the next day when the phone rang and Jayce reached for it but Justin pulled his hand back, leaning down to kiss Jayce to divert his attention and the answering machine got it.
Afterwards, Justin left heaving on the bed, sweat glistening on his tan body,
Jayce picked up the phone and checked his messages.
One from Anthony, his uncle's assistant telling him to be in early because of some kind of crisis. Josh couldn't wait.
Then one from Justin's mother but the young man seemed to be seeing stars still so he saved it and checked the next one. He narrowed his eyes at Justin.
"You gave Angelo this number? And why the fuck does he need to call? You saw him fucking last night. He's probably some stalker, see Justin. You have to be careful of who you hang out with."
Justin gave a smile, pulling at the sheet, covering his crotch and Jayce couldn't help himself as he pulled back the cloth, joining Justin before covering themselves again.
"You're so jealous it's great." He licked a long line across a previous hickey, now a yellowish color. "God, you're stunning," he breathed as he pressed forward and Jayce sighed.
"That's all you want from me. Sex, is it?" he accused playfully and Justin nodded, his face serious. Jayce's smile fell.
"Yeah, because ya know, all I want from you is to fuck. It's not like you're kind or nice or gorgeous, ya know, none of that. All you have is a huge cock," he said, his tone dead panned and Jayce played it off, giving him a kiss before fitting between Justin's legs, the younger man moaning his acceptance.

"Angelo this is Jayce, Jayce this is Angelo."
Awkward gazes were exchanged and Jayce turned to Justin giving him a peck.
"Sorry, can't stay and chat but I gotta go get some stuff done. I'll see you at home, the home we share, ‘member," he emphasized and Angelo smirked, Jayce meeting his challenging gaze.
"We're just friends, guy. No need to worry your pretty little self over."
Jayce's blood boiled but then Justin was there, rubbing his cheek and kissing him like he loved him and the brunette couldn't have wished for a better see you later.
- - - -
But there was no "See you later." Because Justin was sitting in the living room, checking the clock, eleven o'clock ticking back at him and he sighed.
Maybe it was a long night at the club.
But still... Jayce could have called.
- - - -
"Jayce!" Justin jogged up to him, the next night at the club, the youth only there to see his boyfriend. "Where were you, you never came home!" he shouted, still a ways away.
Jayce turned holding up a finger, talking to one of the bartenders. Justin stopped short. So he hadn't totally blown him off but... this was new. And so was last night.
He walked over and tapped Jayce's shoulder, the younger man turning.
"Hold on, ok?" he said, his voice annoyed and Justin pouted, not liking this at all. The feeling, it was weird, it was instinct, and it was telling him something.
Jayce turned towards him, his face looking weary. "What?"
No, he didn't like this at all.
"Where were you last night?"
Jayce licked his lips and checked around him for a second. "I stayed here. We had this problem... something to do with bills. I think I'm gonna turn in early tonight. You gonna be there?"
Justin nodded silently and Jayce gave him a tired smile.
"Good, well I have to go see what's going on outside, later alright?" Jayce gave Justin a kiss and then was off, Justin watching with internal confusion.

Jayce had been knocked out when he came in at one, he hadn't even take off his clothes before plopping down. But Justin was happy to do it, his hands nothing but gentle as he undressed him.
When Justin got the boxers off and the comforter over him, the brunette was far gone, his mouth open as he snored. Justin chuckled and kissed him, falling asleep himself.

That was how their weeks went. And Justin hoped it ended soon. It had been horrible, only seeing glimpses of Jayce at the club, not being able to have even five minutes of his time.
He had to be everywhere at once and he had no time for anything else.
That messed with Justin, and he couldn't deny it anymore.
"Hey," he said Monday evening, coming through the door, grocery bag in his arms. He had wanted spaghetti with a passion. Plus, it would be a nice little treat for the both of them, just to spend some time with each other.
"Sh," was the reply and Justin turned quick. He had the urge to say excuse me but kept quiet, Jayce nodding animatedly into the phone.
"Yeah, I know. And I'll have that paid by-- Yes, sir. Thank you." He hung up and bit his lip, sighing as he looked outside, not even glancing in Justin's direction.
"Jayce--"
Jayce turned around quick, holding a hand to his heart and he sighed upon seeing Justin. "Shit, you scared the hell outta me. What are those?" he asked but didn't even wait for the answer, walking briskly into the bathroom, the shower starting and Justin tried not to take it personally.
He was busy... that's all.
- - - -
But as he sat at the table, the spaghetti finished on his plate, Jayce still in the bedroom, Justin decided to fuck busy.
True, Jayce had work, but... but what about him?
A door opened and Justin whipped towards it, smiling as Jayce appeared in a nice silk suit, clean shaven, his hair damp with gel. He was stunning.
"You're so--"
"Thanks," Jayce said quickly, Justin's smile falling instantly. Jayce's eyes darted over his plate and then his brow furrowed slowly. "What's this?"
Justin began to say something when Jayce looked at his watch and then glanced at Justin, giving his lips a chaste peck.
"Sorry, I gotta book. Be here when I get home, alright?" The door slammed before Justin could even comprehend his answer.
Really, what about him?
His fingers were quick as he dialed Angelo's number.
- - - -
They were kissing, Jayce's tongue thick in Justin's mouth, the blonde up on the counter, his back pressed against the wall. Jayce crawled up his body slowly, his knees on a stool, Justin's legs raised as they wrapped around the brunette's waist.
They hadn't made love in forever. They hadn't touched little more than that. Justin was yearning.
There was a knock and Justin ignored it, hoping Jayce would too but the brunette couldn't seem to and he detached himself from Justin's grip, even after the blonde tried to hold on.
In the next minute Jayce was shrugging into a shirt, apologizing, looking at the buttons of his shirt, not even a kiss for his goodbye.
Justin sighed against the counter and tried to figure out what was going wrong.

It seemed the only time Justin was happy lately was with music filling his soul, the loud bass of Earth, Wind & Fire pumping through his veins like blood.
He had needed this, this release.
As his body drained the stress, the dance floor soaking it up like a sponge, there was a tap at his side. Malik stood with a smile.
"Shit!" Justin exclaimed and gave Malik a hug, the familiar man nice in his arms. "How the hell have you been?" he asked and Malik shrugged.
"I've been alright. It's been crazy without you. We got a new roommate. And he's almost as messy as you," the dark skinned man chuckled and Justin rolled his eyes.
"Whatever. You know you miss me," he smiled and Malik laughed.
Jayce passed in a blur and Justin grabbed his arm, the young man whipping around.
"What?" he asked in a rush, Justin's eyes narrowing.
"Where are you going?" Justin asked and looked at Malik quickly before looking back. "I mean, I just wanted--"
"Look, Justin. I gotta go, just, go home and wait or something," he replied not even looking at Justin, instead whatever was in his hand.
Justin's grip loosened and he hid the hurt well. But when he was silent, Jayce looked up, his brow relaxing.
"I'm sorry--"
"Whatever," Justin said shortly and started for the exit, Malik shrugging his shoulders before following.
