Daddy's Little Girl

"Nice Marie, and Siara. What does your daddy do?"

The small girl looked to her teacher with pretty violet eyes. "My daddy is a washed up pop star who doesn't deserve shit."

The classroom was silent except for the assistant who was giggling in the corner. Then, all at once, the commotion started again and Mrs. Kitt, the teacher took Siara's hand, walking briskly towards the office.

The young girl followed tentatively, her mind wandering to what kind of puppy she was gonna get rather than listening to her teacher's scolds.

"My goodness. Kids these days..." The old woman continued. She turned to Carla, the desk person. "Dial up Mr. Chasez please, and ask him to come down to the office to pick up his daughter."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JC Chasez slammed the door to his BMW harshly, muttering as he walked up the colorful steps to the entrance of his daughter's preschool.

"Stupid fucking teachers." he murmured as he pressed against his sunglasses. He was greeted with a sunny smile and an eyeful of cleavage as Carla gave him a flirty smile.

"Hi Carla." he grinned as she batted her eyelashes. "Is Mrs. Kitt around?"

The woman shook herself from a daze and looked down. "Oh, right! Hold on. Let me go get her."

JC nodded and stood back, looking at the many pictures on the wall drawn by the students of Page Elementary School.

"Papa!" Siara giggled as she ran towards her father, Mrs. Kitt not far behind, her face hard as stone.

"Baby." he spoke into the girl's dark hair bending down to give her a hug. She smiled and he chuckled as he spotted her front tooth missing.

"Papa." She spoke softly and leaned up to whisper in his ear. He looked at her with a stern eye as he pulled away but his grin was still placed upon his face and Siara smiled harder, throwing a grin towards Mrs. Kitt.

"Now, Siara. I thought we agreed, no more cursing." JC said as he looked at her with stern eyes.

She rolled her eyes and turned around in his embrace.

Mrs. Kitt cleared her throat. "Would you like to know what she said today, Mr. Chasez?"

JC shrugged and the woman groaned.

"Well today we asked all the children in her class to tell us what their fathers did for a living. Can you guess what Siara said?"

JC grinned and turned towards Siara. "That I'm the best dad in the world?" he guessed and she slapped his knee.

Mrs. Kitt was still not smiling, but JC guessed she never did. "Mr. Chasez, this is a serious matter. The other kids are learning these foul words from your daughter and we don't have room for trouble makers in our school. This is the third time, and because I like your daughter." JC snorted. "I am giving her yet another warning, but know, sir, this will not happen again."

JC looked down at Siara who was smiling and shook his head with a frown. Her smile slipped easily and she looked down at her feet, her hand still in her father's.

"I'm sorry Mrs. Kitt. We'll work on this... problem. I promise, and I mean it this time." He said and Mrs. Kitt nodded.

JC turned towards his child. "Now what do you say?"

Siara frowned and looked down but JC raised an eyebrow and suddenly a quick apology spilled from the young girl's lips, her hand pulling on her dad's.

Mrs. Kitt watched as the couple walked away, narrowing her eyes.

"What did you say?" JC asked once they sat in the car, sitting towards one another.

Siara shrugged and looked down. "Mommy always said it."

JC sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Baby, I thought we talked about that. We don't say what mommy said. She wasn't very nice with words. Alright? You don't wanna get kicked out of school do you?"

JC could see Siara thinking about it and almost chuckled. She was the only 6 year old he knew who wanted to get out of school already.

"And become a bum with no friends and no family and be all dirty, do you?" Siara shook her head quickly and JC smiled.

"Then no more cuss words, alright?" Siara nodded and JC bent to give her a kiss on her head.

The ride was silent except for the radio, JC tapping his fingers against the steering wheel, Siara slapping her thighs to the beat.

"Papa?" she asked suddenly and JC looked from the road to his daughter.

"Yea, sweetie?"

"Mommy's not coming back, is she?"

The little girl's purple eyes were curious and they shined. JC cursed his ex-wife.

"No, mommy's not coming back." His voice was hushed and he turned back to the road.

"Well then..." Wide eyes looked up. "Why'd she go?"

JC sighed and placed a hand over his daughter's forehead. "Because she didn't love me anymore. But she loves you, baby. She loves you a whole lot." He turned her head. "Hear me? She. Loves. You."

Siara twisted out of her father's grip. "I know, papa. I know."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"You're such a fucking bum! I should have left you years ago." She tilted her head to the side. "You're nothing but a gay pussy, JC."

JC looked up from the line of coke before him with heavy eyes. "Then fucking leave." He bent over again, resuming as if nothing had ever happened.

Aleena laughed loudly and took another swig from the bottle in her hand. "Fuck you. Can't get rid of me that easily, fag." JC raised an eyebrow. "I'm pregnant."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Uncle Justin!!" Siara screamed as she hopped up in her seat, her seat belt pelting her back down.

JC sighed. "Dammit." he cursed and his daughter's eyes were scolding him. "Dernit." he corrected himself as he put the car in park. Siara was busy working on his seat belt and was out of the car in seconds, JC closing her door for her.

The child ran through the garage loudly and JC sighed again as he passed Justin's cherry red Porsche.

JC stepped through the garage door, hitting the garage door closer before walking into his house. He kicked off his shoes at the entrance and walked soundlessly to where the screaming was, knowing Justin was in the kitchen.

"Uncle Justin! Uncle Justin!" Siara was chanting and JC stepped into the kitchen to see Siara in the arms of a tall, brute blonde haired man, his eyes sparkling.

"Hey Rainbow." he said as she kissed his face many times. He laughed and did the same, laughing as she squirmed out of his grasp, landing on her feet.

Justin looked up and raised an eyebrow at JC. He turned to Siara. "Wanna do something for me?" Siara nodded enthusiastically. "Ok, can you go to my room and get me the 3 presents on the bed?" The small girl's skirt flapped in the wind as she hurried up the staircase. Justin turned back to the brunette now leaning against the refrigerator. "You look like shit."

JC gave him a phony grin. "Thanks, wish I could say the same for you."

Justin shrugged. "Yea, I bet you wish. What the hell are you thinking?" From behind his back, Justin produced a small baggy full of white powder. "Hold on, who said they were sober again?"

JC sighed and ran a hand over his rough chin. He still had yet to shower. "That's not mine."

"Bullshit." Justin hissed and threw it at JC. He came close and JC closed his eyes. "Fuck, don't do this to her again." he whispered. "You said you were better."

"Where'd you find it?"

Justin laughed a humorless one. "On your dresser, might wanna stash it somewhere better."

JC shook his head. "I just needed it once, Aleena kept calling and I was stressed, alright?"

"And of course, that makes it ok."

JC opened his eyes and sighed, his hand coming up to rest on Justin's clean, bright face. "It's not that easy." he replied and then pushed Justin away as Siara came barreling down the steps, her arm full of boxes.

Justin pasted on a vibrant smile and lead the little girl into the living room, giving JC one last look.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"What are you doing home so early?"

Siara looked up from the game boy in her hand. "I cussed at school."

"Again." JC added and the little girl pouted as her father gave her a stern look.

Justin rolled his eyes and looked at JC who was sitting on the chair beside him, his eyes trained on Justin also.

"What are you doing here?" JC asked, his voice but a whisper.

Justin shrugged and picked at the hem of his shirt absently before sighing and looking at JC. "I don't get-" The phone sliced through his sentence and Siara hopped up, running for the phone.

JC scooted up and looked at Justin with sad eyes. "Go head."

Justin shook his head and closed his eyes. "Why are you doing this to yourself?"

JC bit his lip and sighed. "You wouldn't understand."

"I know I wouldn't but I just... dammit, C, how can I help?"

JC sat up and stretched in front of Justin, the younger man looking at him with frowning eyes. "You can't, alright?"

Justin shook his head. "I can." he whispered and put his hands on JC's hips. "I can but you won't tell me how." His voice was light and the brunette beside him scowled.

"Don't blame this on me, now."

Justin raised his eyebrows and let his hands slip from JC's belt loops. "But you are the one to blame."

JC narrowed his eyes. "Fuck you, you don't live my-"

"Hey!"

Both heads whipped towards the small child and Justin looked up to JC with a sorry glance.

"Yea sweetie?"

"No cussing, member?" she said in her tiny voice and JC's face broke out in a grin. He walked over and flung her over his shoulders, laughing as she giggled.

"I love you, baby."

"I love you too, papa."

JC turned to see Justin smiling at him and motioned with his head for him to join them. "Wanna watch a movie?"

The little girl's eyes lit up and she squirmed in his grasp until he was giving her a piggy back. "Yes, yes yes!"

Justin smiled as he came up behind them, flicking Siara's ear. "What do you want?" He asked as her foot lashed out to kick him but she only hit JC instead.

"The Best Man." she said and JC laughed.

"What are you talking about. How do you even know about that movie? That's for grown ups."

"But-"

"Nope, Jungle book it is." Justin answered for JC and the brunette turned around, his eyes sparkling.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Siara was asleep, her small chest heaving up and down easily. Justin was on top and his lips moved against JC's perfectly, just what JC needed.

They rolled and JC landed in between Justin's legs, his hands wandering absently up and down Justin's clothed thigh, mumbling into the blonde's mouth. Things like, "I missed this." Or, "Too long." And a favorite of Justin's, "I love you."

JC took Justins hands in his and pushed them above his head, smiling into the kiss and Justin missed that JC sparkle in the brunette's eyes.

JC pulled away and started on the long column of Justin's neck, marking him affectionately.

"JC." he whispered and JC answered into his skin. "Siara is.." Justin rolled over and pushed JC off slightly, clearing his throat loudly while JC looked on confused.

"What happened?"

Justin pointed over his shoulder and JC saw Siara stretching, her eyes still closed.

"You woke up?" JC asked and Siara nodded sleepily. JC guessed it was time for a nap. "Come on, baby. Lets get you under some covers." JC said as he picked up the girl and carried her upstairs, smiling softly at Justin.

Siara was asleep by the time JC had her under the comforter and he smiled. He kissed her forehead and when he started to stand up she moaned softly.

"Papa?"

JC looked down fondly at his daughter. "Hm?"

"Will you marry Justin?"

JC let out a laugh and smoothed out the brunette waves on his child's forehead. "Night, baby."

"Night." she mumbled before she was lost to the world.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Justin was lying on the sofa, idly flipping through channels, sighing. He looked up when JC approached, a smile ghosting over his face before he turned back to the TV.

JC sat down beside Justin and noticed the younger man hadn't responded.

"Whats wrong?"

Justin shrugged and thumbed the remote again. JC narrowed his eyes and snatched the remote from his hand.

"Whats wrong?"

"I just don't get you. That's all."

JC licked his lips. "Siara wants us to get married." He smiled as Justin's head turned towards him slowly, a grin breaking out slowly.

"Don't fucking tease me like that."

JC sat up and crawled over Justin, ending up in his lap. "I'm not." he whispered as his hands deftly played with the hem of Justin's blue Polo shirt.

Justin looked at JC, his eyes scrutinizing for a minute before pushing JC off and getting up, running a hand down his shirt to smooth out the wrinkles.

JC sighed and laid back down. "Don't leave." he whispered and Justin shook his head.

"I forgot I had to go check on my mom." He wasn't lying either, but JC scowled as if he was.

"Yea, ok."

Justin slipped into his jacket easily. "I might stop by later."

"Don't." JC said bitterly and Justin gave him a kiss he couldn't deny before walking out the front door.

"You don't do anything while I'm gone, hear me?"

JC rolled his eyes in answer.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

"Papa! Papa! Papa!"

JC sighed and looked up from the book in his hands. "What?"

"Look! Look! Look!" Siara screamed as she jumped higher on the trampoline, giggling as she fell to the netting quickly.

"That's great." JC replied. Adding a, "Be careful, baby."

"Uncle Justin!!"

JC turned around quickly and hid his smile as he watched Justin walk through the gate, patting the big dog growling at him.

"Told you." he muttered to JC as he passed, slipping off his Nike's as he climbed onto the trampoline along with Siara.

JC discretely watched the two and couldn't help the grin that spread over his face. This was what he had imagined. Fuck white picket fences. He had pictured him, Justin and a baby. He had gotten instead a money hungry coke addict and a miracle of a child.

He watched with soft eyes as Justin gave up and Siara covered him in ticklish kisses, him doing his best to ward off the slimy attacks.

"Papa, come." Siara laughed and JC shrugged, why the hell not, right?

He put his book down and took off his sunglasses lying them beside the book, stretching. He climbed upon the trampoline and Siara immediately giggled as her father stumbled.

"Shit." he cursed lowly and Justin smiled, his back still on the trampoline. The blonde smiled and touched JC's ankle affectionately. "Thanks." he whispered and JC just smiled in return.

"Can you pass me the salt, Rainbow?"

Siara reached over and threw the salt to Justin, laughing as it landed in his lap.

"Thanks smart ass." Justin chuckled and JC shot him a look. "Smart butt." he grinned and Siara giggled.

"How come you don't scold him like you scold me?" JC asked as he chomped on some broccoli.

Siara took a sip of her coke. "Because he's my uncle. You're my daddy. And you'd be a hypocit if you did, anyway."

"Hypocit? You mean, hypocrite?" Siara nodded vigorously. "Where'd you learn that?" Justin asked.

"I heard it on TV."

"Where'd you learn to use it?"

"Mrs. Kitt."

JC shrugged and scratched at his chest. "What do you wanna do after this, baby?"

"Uncle Justin's taking me out for ice cream..." She gave her father a stern look. "Alone."

JC laughed and flicked his daughter's arm. "Fine." He turned to Justin. "I didn't want to go anyway." He stuck his tongue out.

"Good." Justin added. "We didn't want you to come." He stuck his tongue out also and JC pushed away his face.

"You two are crazies." He laughed and spooned some more mashed potatoes.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Siara was never a big night person. JC knew from experience that she was definitely a morning person so it wasn't abnormal that she was in bed and asleep by 8:30.

Now, 1 in the morning, Justin lie on the floor in his jeans, shirtless with a bottle of Jack Daniels by his side.

JC stayed on the couch, his ear in the sofa as he listened to Justin mumble to him. He was beyond content. He felt like he was at the climax of a high where every little thing he did felt good. Sighing felt like heaven, blinking made him shudder and moving his legs almost made him come in his pants. But he wasn't on anything and this non-induced ecstasy was making him smile nonstop, his cheeks hurting.

The doorbell cut through Justin's speech, to himself, and JC trudged from the couch, muttering about people not stopping by so early in the morning.

He opened the door and wasn't surprised to see his ex wife, bombed out of her mind. "Aleena." he said softly, turning around reflexively to see if Siara was around.

"JC." Aleena answered stumbling into his house, shoving him on the way.

"What are you doing back?" JC resumed whispering. "I told you last night not to-"

"Save it, JC. I wanted to see what your lame ass was doing with out me." She slurred and sat into a chair heavily, the wood sliding slightly. Her lipstick was messed up but her shiny eyes were flawless.

"Aleena, just go-"

"Shut up." she shushed him and sighed running a hand through her tangled blonde hair.

Justin stepped from the living room into the kitchen and gasped. Aleena looked at him with narrowed eyes.

She turned towards JC. "You two are still fucking? I'd think you'd be tired of him already, Justin." she leered openly and then flipped him off.

"Its always a delight seeing you Aleena. I wish it was you I woke up to every morning." Justin snorted and Aleena was about to make a snappy quip but the girl standing at the top of the stairs stopped her.

"Papa?" she asked and Justin turned, walking to Siara quickly.

"Come on, Rainbow. Lets get to bed." He said as he picked her up, the girl resting her cheek against his freckled cheek.

"Rainbow? What shit is that?" Aleena questioned loudly, turning angry eyes to JC. "I bet you already have corrupted the child. I hope she knows her daddy likes it up the ass." The woman mumbled as she pushed past JC again.

She looked back when she reached the opening of the door. "I hope you rot in hell, JC. For all you've done to me, I hope you-"

"Name a god damned thing I've ever done to you!" JC was seething and his face was hot with anger. "Tell me Aleena." He grabbed her shoulders and brought her close. The lack of fear in her eyes made him angrier.

"You married me, you god damned pussy. You made me live with you-"

"Oh shut the fuck up! You asked me to marry you. You were the one that came on to me that night. You were the fucking one who decided to keep the baby! Don't you fucking turn this around and start lying about shit that never even happened." JC opened the door and pushed her out.

"Don't come back Aleena, I'm warning you. I will never hit a woman but I know people who will, so just... don't. Hear me?"

Aleena glared at him for a long minute, stumbling slightly. "I'm gonna tell everyone their favorite popstar likes dick, I'm-"

"Go the fuck ahead. I could care less now. You've used that how many times now? It doesn't matter anymore. Now, please. Leave." JC shut the door in her face and sighed as he slumped to the floor his head falling back against the hard mahogany.

"You ok?"

JC shook his head and sighed when he felt Justin tangle himself in his arms. "God, why does she have to say shit like that?" he asked and Justin kissed JC's neck lightly.

"To get a rise out of you. God, you were great out there." Justin smiled against smooth skin.

JC nodded and his arms tightened around Justin. The blonde leaned back and looked at JC.

"I like this." he whispered and JC nodded.

"I liked today, too."

Justin nodded. "I felt part of the family. But, not just as an uncle." He looked at JC with steady eyes. "As..." He chickened out and bit his lip, looking into their laps. "As something else." he whispered and leaned against JC's chest.

"I love you."

Justin nodded.

"You believe me right?"

Justin sat back and looked at JC with smiling eyes. "Of course I do."

JC nodded.

"When are you leaving?"

Justin kissed his neck again. "Whenever you tell me to."

JC nodded and pulled Justin close once again.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JC awoke to Siara nestled in between him and Justin, her arm thrown over his waist carelessly as he she cuddled up to his stomach. He stretched slightly and grinned as her eyes popped open.

"How long have you been up?"

Siara shrugged and sat up. "Since 6." JC looked over to the clock on the nightstand and yawned as the red 6:45 blinked back at him.

"You wake up too early." he chuckled and fell back to the bed, covering a yawn.

"Get up. We have to go-" "In 2 hours, baby. Why don't you go and... play with April downstairs." he said referring to the large Saint Bernard.

Siara shook her head and then pushed on Justin's shoulder.

"Don't, Siara. Let him sleep." JC mumbled and closed his eyes as his daughter stomped out of the bed, hitting it out of spite as she walked out of the room.

"Mm.." Justin rolled towards him, kissing his cheek blindly as he brought JC's arm around him. "What was that?"

"Siara."

Justin nodded and fell right back asleep.

An hour later, when Justin was placing tempting kisses to his back, JC spotted his daughter in the doorway, her face blank.

He cleared his throat and sat up quickly, running a hand through his hair. "What time is it?"

Siara came in, as her usual self, and jumped on the bed, smiling as Justin reached out and grabbed her, poking at her sides.

"8:40. We need to go." she said between giggles, JC nodding as he jumped in the bathroom.

Justin sat on the bed and Siara looked at him, a strange glint in her eyes.

"What are you looking at me like that for?" he asked and she shrugged.

He yawned and then stood up himself, scratching his chest. "I should get ready too." he said quickly and walked to the bathroom.

"But papa's in there."

Justin smiled to himself. "I know."

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

JC was shaving, thanks to Justin who told him he looked too scruffy. Justin, himself was buttoning his shirt and Siara combing through her hair with her father's blowdryer/brush. Her head was a fluff ball by the end of it but she smiled anyway.

"Ready?" JC asked as he turned to Justin and slapped away the younger man's hands, buttoning up the rest of the shirt.

"Yup yup!" came the cheery reply and Siara bounded out the room. Justin smiled at the trace of the young girl and turned to kiss JC softly.

"I'm happy you two are here." he said emotionally and JC laughed quickly before enveloping Justin in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much-"

"Don't thank me-"

"No, thank you."

Justin sighed and nodded. "You're welcome."

JC gave him a small kiss before fixing his hair. "Be here when I get back, alright?"

Justin nodded and sat on the counter watching as his best friend left the room.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The ride to Siara's school was silent except for the soft music, JC tapping the side of the window, Siara wiggling in her seat.

"Papa?"

JC looked down. "Yea?"

Siara looked serious. "Its ok that you kiss Justin like you kissed mommy."

JC's jaw dropped and he looked back to his daughter, speechless. "I... I think you're not really 6." he laughed and Siara grinned a proud grin.

JC let out a quick laugh and the stopped, looking back to Siara.

"When did you-"

"You're not good at hiding."

JC blushed and then turned to his daughter with an affectionate smile.

"You're so special, baby. Remember that."

They arrived at the school quickly and JC stopped in front. "Want me to walk you?"

Siara nodded and got out, tugging on her dress.

JC got out and reached for her hand, her warm tiny one fitting perfectly into his. They passed through the door and Carla smiled leaning forward.

"Hi Mr. Chasez." she bellowed and JC gave her a lopsided grin as Siara pulled him along.

They stopped in front of an open door, Mrs. Kitt sitting at her desk.

"Have a good day, sweetie." JC said as he bent down, giving his daughter a tight hug.

She nodded and gave him a quick kiss on his cheek, bidding her goodbye.

JC watched with a warm smile as his child bounced into the room, huddling with the rest of the girls. He laughed and sighed contentedly because this was what he had pictured. This was what he had wanted.
