Title: Power Of Love
"Are we going to see him? Or are you going to hide him away?" Jackie asked, peering over her friend's shoulder.
Josh shook his head, finishing the last of the note, envelope stuck between his lips.
"Why not? Afraid he'll like me more than he likes you?"
The brunette nodded, putting down the pencil and reaching for the envelope.
"Well I'd be nervous too, I did lose all that weight," the girl spoke, sitting down on the bed in the corner of the room.
"You're fucking ridiculous. Does this look ok?" He motioned to his jeans and black collared shirt.
"You look like you always look. Nothing impressive about that."
Josh grinned. "Good, I don't wanna seem too pressed."
Jackie rolled her eyes. "How old is he again? Isn't he a baby?"
"Shut up, 18. Fuck... this is crazy." Jackie raised an eyebrow. "I'm so fucking nervous, I mean I saw him at Christmas a couple of weeks ago, I should be fine–"
There was a timid knock, Jackie never letting Josh get a chance to answer, blue eyes and lean body being the first things that registered. She let herself smirk, sidling up against the door post. "You sure as hell don't look no 18," she mumbled, the other bowing his head with a splash of pink on his cheeks.
Josh remembered to swallow, not his tongue though, he thought as Justin appeared at his door, crossing the threshold easily.
"You cut your hair," he breathed, astonishment coloring his words white. Justin just showed off a row of pearly white teeth, hands gliding over the stubble on his head.
"I wanted to surprise you. I lost them during a bet," he said coming closer, hesitating with a look to Jackie who stood staring. She just waved him off with a genuine smile. His arms were around Josh's the next second, his cheek pressed against the other's. "I missed you on that flight more than I think I have ever missed you. Knowing I was only a few hours away, that shit messed with my head."
The brunette replied with a kiss, his tongue sliding over the youth's open mouth. He pulled back with a small peck. "I was so nervous, ask Jackie." At that Justin raised his eyebrows and Josh grimaced.
"Forgot me, hm?"
Both turned to the lady now on the bed, her hands extended, one with a note, the other reaching for Justin's hand.
"I'm Jackie, Josh's only friend here at GT."
Justin laughed and shook it lightly. "I can believe it, he tends to be a dork most of the time. Justin, nice to meet you."
The blonde reached for the note, his eyes narrowed at Josh as he ripped the envelope. "Why is it wet right there?" he asked and the brunette rolled his eyes, urging him to continue. When he pulled out the contents he felt it in his chest, that bubbling that threatened to spill out of every pore. "Ludacris and DTP tickets," he grinned, his eyes disappearing within his smile. "I love you so much," he whispered, grabbing Josh for another kiss.
"You can thank Jackie too, she scored them for us."
Justin bent to give the female a kiss on the cheek, her eyes warm. "Thank you, so much."
"Hey, it was the least I could do. Josh over here would never go to any of the shows with me and I realized you were the perfect incentive. Even if yall are the lightest ones up in there..." Her smile was splendid by the end of her sentence and Justin turned back to Josh, holding the man close.
"Thanks for lettin' me come out here."
"You're thanking me for being selfish with you," the brunette chuckled, locking his wrists around Justin's waist.
Moments of silence washed around them, their gaze in tact as Jackie rambled on around them, her voice a lull in the background as Justin watched.
"You should say something cheesy right now, or someone should say it. Not me, though," Justin chortled, a blush on his cheeks.
"I love you."
Cobalt blue raised and met Josh's eyes, his smile never slipping as he agreed with a kiss.
"And I told you I kept my promises," the brunette murmured onto Justin's tongue, the blonde pulling away with a laugh.
"Cliche is close enough," he said as he fastened his hold on the elder, their lips meeting in the middle again above the adoration settled between them.
