3 years. 1,095 days. 26,280 hours. 1,576,800 seconds.
JC decided that was entirely too long to be from friends.
Chris had called him first, which was a surprise, about 5 weeks into the break. JC stuttered for a full 5 minutes as Chris chuckled at his bumbling friend. They talked about nothing at all and it was absolutely great, JC laughing harder than he had ever laughed in the past 5 years. They were going to go down to visit Joey in a week, is what he had said and JC couldn't say no.
He had called Lance, and ended up talking to Joey, seeing as the Italian was visiting him. JC hung up the phone a little envious.
Justin was still M.I.A.
And that was the reason why JC was stepping out of the cab, paying the driver the correct amount, and some for tip. That's why JC was walking up the stone walk way, towards the large door of the humongous white house.
Justin had always been a fan of white houses.
JC wiped his sweaty hands on the pockets of his blue jeans and took deep breaths, trying to calm his racing heart.
The brunette raised his hand, his knuckles rapping against the door loudly and then he took a step back.
While he waited his mind was suddenly thinking of logical reasons of why he should just leave now, before anyone answered the door.
What if Justin had a boyfriend?
What if he had forgotten him?
What if he didn't want JC anymore?
What if?
JC frowned, turning around. He was too chicken shit, and this was all just a big mistake he knew he would regret. He couldn't do it.
He walked a few steps, stopping on his fourth stride, feeling something, maybe someone, behind him.
He turned around slowly. When his eyes fell upon a figure standing in the doorway his eyes felt heavy and huge. God, Justin was absolutely gorgeous.
"Oh... wow." Justin's voice was breathy and his eyes were wide.
JC gave a slight smile that felt more like a grimace. "Uh... hi?"
Justin's forehead creased and his tongue smoothed over his bottom lip as he cocked his head to the side.
JC felt the need to explain. "I didn't- I'm sorry for just- I-I hope I'm not inter-" He stopped. Just stopped talking because he sounded like an idiot. He had found his voice, now if only he could find the right words. He took a deep breath and started over. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to just... show up. I should have called."
Bright blue stared at JC slightly narrowed and JC cursed himself for actually coming. He was probably having sex when JC had rang the doorbell. Great. JC shook his head. "Look, I can come bac-"
Justin was quick to interrupt him. "No no no no no no no." he said quickly, opening his door open wider. "Come in, come..."
Justin was looking at him oddly and JC felt weird stepping through the threshold of Justin's new house. The one JC had never been to before and something pinged inside his chest. He had always seen Justin's houses. Always.
A hand on his shoulder startled JC, making him turn. Justin's hand lie soft on him and JC tingled.
"You're real." Justin smiled and JC stared straight into those eyes. His knees felt weak. He had missed this man so.
"God, Justin." JC pulled the blonde into a fierce hug, Justin burying his face in the warm crook of JC's neck.
"I missed you."
"Why didn't you call?" His voice was soft.
"I thought... I was scared you had..." Justin looked up with shimmering eyes. "I don't know." he breathed, his hands rubbing circles on the back of JC's neck.
JC gave him a smile. "I don't know either."
"Justin honey, where are you?" JC paled and his grip on the blonde loosened. Justin looked at him confused, his hold getting tighter.
"Justin, let go." JC whispered and he had to admit that Justin was pretty damn cute when he had that confused look on.
"Why? What?"
JC's hands to came to his neck and pried Justin off him. "You have a girlfriend?" he asked, a little agitated.
Justin was again looking at him like he was crazy. "What? What are you talking about?"
"Justin!" Both heads whipped towards the lady. Justin turned back to JC with a laugh and JC bowed his head, a blush coloring his face. Justin's mother, Lynn stood confused but happy. Justin hadn't seen JC in ages.
"Yeah." Justin laughed, pointing to the ground. "Go ‘head and pick up your face now." he chuckled and JC scowled but his eyes twinkled. Justin knew he was relieved.
"Yeah, whatever." he grumbled and soon his face broke out in a smile. He stuck his head out. "Hi Mrs. Harless." he greeted friendly and the woman smiled.
"Hi JC. How are..." Lynn looked to her son who was narrowing his eyes and took her cue. "Oh dern, I think the cookies are burning." She ran to the kitchen giggling.
JC looked at Justin who had a toothy grin. Justin opened his mouth to say something more, but his eyes stayed trained on JC's lips.
JC sensed something, what, he didn't quite know. But the silence was heavy and he was anticipating something.
Justin's lips were soft and velvet and warm and wet and all that JC had remembered. JC's hand slid up his arm slowly, running over his chest, settling on the side of Justin's neck, his finger tips flirting with the baby curls at the nape of the blonde's neck.
Justin's hands reached for the brunette's hips, pulling him closer. They scraped over his back, his tongue gliding into JC's mouth, their tongue's meeting instantly. JC pulled away slightly and Justin nipped at his bottom lip before coming closer to claim those lips in another kiss. Justin pulled away this time and gave JC one last soft kiss before leaning against him.
"Do you know... do you know how long I have fucking waited for that?" Justin asked, taking large gulps of air.
"Not as long as I have." JC smiled and pressed his lips to Justin's once more, his hand sliding from Justin's head to rest right above his heart.
"Justin?" JC mumbled into Justin's mouth.
"Hmm?" the blonde's hand snaked around JC's waist, pulling them closer together.
"I love you."
Justin smiled into the kiss.
"I know."
JC pulled back with a playful frown. "And?"
Justin let his hand smooth over the lines on JC's forehead, his middle finger dragging lazily over his nose, then sliding across his bottom lip. His large hand cupped JC's cheek.
"And I love you too."
