RULES, REGULATIONS AND WAFFLE
It’s a new season of FANTASY F1… Pick six drivers and two constructors to form your team, do not exceed £300 million.
The competition is open to anyone connected through friends or family of Dynex Semiconductor employees, and their friends.
LAP POINTS
There are extra points available now for laps completed, if a circuit is say 74 laps long and your driver completes it, he will get 74 points, 1 point per lap after lap 5. If a driver goes out before lap 5 they will get deducted 5 points. These points apply to both the drivers and the constructors.
FINISHING POINTS
There are no extra points for finishing this year.
PENALTY POINTS
In qualifying - If a driver does not put up a qualifying time the Driver and the Constructor will be deducted 5 points.
In qualifying – If an engine has to be changed the Driver and the Constructor will be deducted 10 points.
In Race – If a Driver goes out before lap 5 they will be deducted 5 points, applies to Driver and Constructor.
CONSTRUCTORS POINTS
Each constructor will have two cars in a race, to score points the driver of which ever constructor has to complete as many laps has he can, if a race is say 74 laps and your first driver completes it, the constructor will score 74 points, same as the second driver, if both finish the constructor will gain a bonus of 25 points. It is one point per lap after five laps have been completed if a Driver does not complete five laps they will be deducted 5 points instead from the constructor.
There are again no weightings on the constructors, so reliability is essential.

BONUS ROUNDS
There are two bonus rounds this year, they are Round 3 Australia and Round 8 Great Britain, all points from these two rounds are doubled including lap points, and all penalty points are doubled also.
DRIVER AND CONSTRUCTOR CHANGES
From Monday 24th April 2006 to Monday 22nd May 2006 you can make two changes to your team, but only one change per round, for example you can get rid of a driver in between rounds 4 and 5, followed by a constructor change between rounds 5 and 6. The changes are possible after Round 4 and before Round 7.
If you get rid of a Driver or Constructor valued the same or less as the one you are changing the cost is 50p
If you wish to get rid of a Driver or Constructor and replace with a higher valued Driver or constructor the cost is £1.
You can only get rid of a Driver for a Driver and a Constructor for another Constructor, so you are retaining six drivers and two constructors.
DAMAGED DRIVERS
If you lose a driver, in this years competition, you will automatically get the driver that has been replaced, you will not lose any drivers during the season, you are basically buying the seat number rather than the driver.
