The Graffiti by the train line is under danger!

New clean up initiatives mean it will be white washed!

Is this attack on artistic expression in response to great graffiti pics

posted at this site?

Nahh..

Its to make room for a new mural.

I suggested something along the lines of Pink Floyds "the Wall" imagary one time. Hope they know what they are doing cause they have gone over some nice stuff. More than the chickens tail feathers have been ruffled.

From: Miko4206 Sent: 2/09/2004 7:14 PM

My idea is that to cool out to the best of Pink Floyd..

I am studing Multimedia at TAFE this year ( it's just across the park from City Farm).

Here is the first of three pages for this site.Documents

It's still under construction...so, sorry the links don't work.

Please contact me at this group or at michaelrule_1@hotmail.com for further discussion.

From: jonoscono Sent: 1/09/2004 1:45 PM

Dear Miko,

I knew you were into Web building, but i didn't know you were studying it at TAFE.

Check this site out.... www.cityfarmperth.org.au

And here is and alternative for the look ( which is not as pretty, but more functional for dial up users due to less pictures) www.cityfarmperth.org.au/update.

A friend of mine coded the "Update"

My job is to bukd the content for either or both of these sites.

If you would like to be involved, please contact me on 9362 5850

PS i am scared of MSN so i created an e-mail account for it's use only. mI will check this occasionally, but you'd be better to call me by phone i'd say.

Also, we have a dormant discussion group already courtesy of perth Indipendent Media Collective see www.perthimc.asn.au

Our list is hosted by these guys at http://www.lists.perthimc.asn.au/listinfo/cityfarm

We have over a dozen members, and i am intending that the website make use ofd this discussion group.  Just wanted to let you know what was already happening, and we shouild definitely work together on this project rather than running two sepaarate ones.

Having said that , i think it is very cool that you created this initiative, and keep going with it by all means.

The current site has been in process for over two years.  It's time it was up and running, so if you weant any input, please let me know,

Love Jono

Hi Jono,

Cool to hear from you.

Do you have any photos of me from my time at City Farm?

Danette took this one...

How are the potatoes going?!?!

The site is looking good.

The update template looks fresh!

I am working Monday to Friday now so I find it hard to get out.

I will surely check back to see what is going on.

Good luck to you all at CITYFARM!

Hi,

I was it at City Farm for the Boo-Yah Saturday Afternoon sports last

weekend.

I had a bit of a skate on some indoor jumps and railslide. A a few bands

played and then I did a bongo drum workshop. Rollie Skender was there and we

recorded a short Boo-Yah song.

I am deciding whether to continue this group or make a web blog type

collation....so I will wait until I decide before I post it online.

At the anti-racism concert where I saw DJ Missile and a vocalist do a great set, Purple Jasmine put out a call to anyone who wants to plant trees. On this occassion I could not spare the time. You pay a small amount to cover accomodation in rural areas over a three day stint of planting. If you can spare a Friday to Sunday weekend, mabey this will be happening again soon.

Shorter stints may be possible to arrange.

Contact Jasmine for further details.

I saw the TV program filmed by Channel 31 while I worked for the dole at City Farm.

It was a Work in Focus program with interviews with City farm management and participants. I just saw and taped the last bit so mabey I did feature for a sec?

Pictures I took of the filming are shown on this City Farm webpage I did;

http://au.oocities.com/beckdime/eat_this.html

Screen captures of the program from my TV are here;

Hmm, theres a bit of stuff I took while listening to a Nunchukka Superfly CD!

....well, I like to get into it.

Saturday organic markets at City Farm continue....

You never know what might be happening.

I will take my mum next time she is up 'cause I know she will like to look at the chickens! If dad surfs this group, I now recomend checking out the main City Farm site;

http://www.cityfarmperth.org.au/new_lite/about.html

It's lightweight but it may be good to exchange ideas with his friends in China (is there anything about ducks and chickens they don't know?).

City Farm is also about stage productions recycling and sustainable garden management. My parents and brother all have good experience in this field, so I look forward to any information relating to the above they may offer.

Anybody else out there want to know about something?

This is my last surviving ninemsn group, so it you think this is a valuable forum of discussion....please join and participate.

This webpage is based on a TAFE project I did in 2004.

It has been updated but is now once again out of date.

Attached is a flyer for the latest City Farm event...

..out of date but like the webpages I present,

the spirit is sustainable and current.

I think I said it right this time....    ....a cat heads off down Lime St.

General : geese at the railway station....
