Finally, getting this trip in. After numerous bathroom stops for someone (who shall remain nameless, but it wasn't me)we got to the start of the trip. It was a hike of approx 3.2 miles on the yellow trail on Bear Hill of Middlesex Fells. The hike was difficult as the trail was covered up with down leaves, and also poorly marked. At times I think myself and Kat got off the beaten track and blazed our own trail. We did end up at the pond which was our destination. We took a well needed break here enjoying the scenery and narrowly missed getting killed by flying sticks ( you had to be there). On the way back, I actually lost the way at one point and (she'll love this) Kat found the trail and delivered us back on track. All in all it was a good dayhike but anyone doing this trail should pay close attention to the markings as they are blue and pink not yellow as in the trail name.
