It must be difficult for you to have to take time to get things done at home. I have many replies to updates. Do you want me to copy them on to one long email & send it to you so you & Linda can see it or do you want me to forward each one individually to you? I'm sure there are some comments you will appreciate seeing & also know who tried to contact you while Mike's been in the hospital.

I'm down in N.C. now and this is the first chance I've had to see some of the emails that you have been sending. Thanks for doing that for us. I would very much like to see some of the responses that you have been getting. We can access our e-mail at the hotel so if you would just send them to our regular home e-mail, I will check it regularly.
A quick update for you . . . Mike had a great day. We can see improvement hour by hour. He is starting to flirt with the nurses so he must be feeling better. He's hungry and eating solid food and is starting to focus on the ACC basketball scene - He, Mark and Amy are watching the Duke/UNC game right now.
On the other hand, it was shared with him that his tumor was a higher grade than we had hoped for and will require further treatment and even though he was disappointed, seemed to take that in stride as well.
He is still in ICU because they are still concerned about controlling his seizures which are becoming less frequent now as they are learning to regulate his medication. If he keeps progressing as he has been, he could start walking in a day or so and then maybe we can bring him back to the hotel with us where he needs to be for about a week before he will be allowed to leave town. Its my hope to be able to stay here, I'm concerned about what is going on up there and when I'm up there I want to be down here. I'll certainly be glad when this nightmare is over.
Thanks again for your help and we hope you are feeling better as well. Heard you have been under the weather.

Subject: Fwd: Mike's Update - 3/11
WE HAVE GREAT NEWS!
Hi Norma,
Had a great day. Mike's progress has been amazing this last day or so. All the monitors are off, all the IV's are disconnected, he hasn't had a seizure in more than 3 days and all systems are go.
We have an appointment with the Oncology team in the morning and then he will be released from the hospital to return to the hotel for a couple days. If all goes as planned, we will be headed north by Saturday morning.
With any luck at all, the next update will be written by Mike himself.
This is one big chapter closed but still have a long way to go.
Linda and I really appreciate everyone's support and friendship.

Subject: Fwd: Mike on way home ! ! !
Dear Norma,
They are on their way back home. Linda called about noon time and said they left after Mike had some tests and the results were okay. They were entering Virginia and would probably be back in Sauquoit Sunday afternoon, tomorrow. Mike is doing very good and they are all anxious to get back. We sure are glad to get this great news. The love and prayers of everyone has worked miracles. Thanks so much.
