When the Legends Die by: Patty Terrell
When legends die, the dreams end, and if the dreams end their is no greatness.  Alot of people do not think about the legends who have made us who we are today.  If you were to think about a legend you would probably think of someone famous, but everyone is famous in there own unique way.
There have been many legends in my time, ones I will never forget.  From legends we develop dreams and from those dreams only wonderful things were created.  One legend that I will never forget is William Michael Tanton, also known to me as Mike.  He was one of the greatest persons you could have ever met.  He did not do anything wonderful and couragous for the world, he was himself and that was wonderful enough.  Mike was just a normal young man, who tried his best at everything he done.  The way he made people feel about themselves was more gracious than you or I could ever imagine.  He helped anyone he could even if he had just met them.
When people asked what Mike looked like I replied, "A short guy with a smile as big as he is".  He was always smiling no matter what!  No one could not like Mike, there was always something interesting they would found in him.  I ask Mike one day why he was always smiling and he taught me one of the morals of life.  He said, "If your always sad then you will lead a sad life, but if you always happy about life you will lead a spectacular one."  He taught me to take life one day at a time.  He helped me to dream, and that is what lead me to become a better person.  One day he said to me, You are very smart so never under estimate yourself and you can become whatever you want, I have faith in you.  Mike was a Legend to me and a inspiration in my life.  Mike was struck and killed on September 15th, 2000 hit by a drunk driver in Atascosita, doing what he always loved to do drive a wrecker.  To me he will always live in my heart and always be a legend to me.  His spirt is what everyone will remember.  He was angel on earth and now in heaven.
If the legends do not die the dreams will never end, and there greatness will carry on.  With every Legend there will be a place in your heart to hold them.  You might have not knwn Mike but now you know his story.
Mike you will be Loved and missed greatly.
My little Pooh Bear by: April Carouthers
My little Pooh Bear was his name
always smiling and playing games
     Laughing and Joking and messing
around he always had a smile never
had a frown
"Mike" loved to do things to make
you smile he did what he could and
walked that extra mile
To him life was so easy never
was down always there to hang around
A wrecker driver that's what he
was always there to give a tug
So in many ways "Mike" was
there for us until a drunk driver
took him from us
A angel from heaven is what
he was so god called him home
so he could help us
     We will always remember the
good days and bad as long as we
do that we will never be sad
