A view from the summit of Shizugatake, looking north. The mountain, being only 421 meters high, is only about 300 meters higher than Lake Yogo and the surrounding plain. Following Hideyoshi's surprise arrival on the scene, however, Sakuma's troops escaped down the mountain onto the the shores of Lake Yogo, where they would fight a desperate and futile battle.
