"A little note"
"Wales/UK" - by The Welsh Wizard
(Wales, UK)
29th April, 2001
Well, this dear old Country of ours seems to be getting back to normal slowly.
The Countryside is opening up, you still have to stepover the odd pile of bodies awaiting either burning or burying.
I would hate to have to rely on this Government if something serious came along.
We are getting nearer to having a new bridge in this lovely little town of ours, Monmouth.

Our Town Council is to hold a meeting to discuss the dangers of the A40(Monmouth Bypass). I think it is rather obvious what the dangers are - Traffic - Peds stay away.
Meeting ended.
Headline in local paper
"Foot and Mouth hits Council Meeting"

Last week was the anniversary of the Korean War, where the Glorious Glosters made quite a name for themselves, at the battle of the Imjin river, so this was celebrated quite extensively just down the road in Gloucester.
There were 660 of them of which 63 escaped, 86 died and the rest were taken prisoner. A few VC were won. By their actions they changed the war in our favour, well done lads.
Well there you go my old pal me old beauty, more news from the Border Counties in a Month.
Hopefully we will be bathed in sunshine and I will be sitting here in me shorts, wiping the sweat from me brow.
Take care, we care
