Mark wanted a party, so he had one, and after people stuffed their faces with meatballs, chips, and crackers, we sat around and played Werewolf. Karyn and her friend Derek didn't play, preferring to reminisce in the kitchen, and Kaveh said he had to leave, but he was seduced into watching how things played out.

Notes: Everyone went to sleep in Miller's Hollow, and the Fortune Teller, Jamie, awoke and took a peak at Dan's card. Jamie now knew that Dan was a werewolf. Now he had to put his information to good use...if he could survive the first night...

In the morning, the people awoke to find that Karla was dead. She was revealed to be the hunter, and in her flailing, dying twists she fired a load of buckshot into Annie. Annie, unfortunately, was a Villager. (This is the second time in a row that we played with a special role, and that role was killed first thing. Bad luck...)

The villagers awoke then and after a long, grueling process, finally elected Rakesh the sheriff, giving him the two vote bonus. Rakesh was a pretty good sheriff, though he did pick on Scott in the first round. Sam had targeted Dan for some reason (which he explained later), and Jamie - who knew that Dan was a werewolf, lobbied for Scott for a while rather than keep after Dan. But Scott gave Jamie a weird grin, and so Jamie's lobbying effort was (sort of) reasonable. In the end, though, he did vote for Dan in the first run. The votes were: Sam 3 (Scott, Jill, Dan), Scott 3 (Rakesh, Mark), and Dan 2 (Sam, Jamie). In the run-off, they voted overwhelmingly for Scott, and he was hung. Another villager down. It looked grim for the villagers! (Mark was really upset that they hung a villager.)

Things went from bad to worse, then, as the werewolves killed Jamie, who was revealed to be the fortune teller. This was just after Jamie had discovered that Jill was also a werewolf! Still, in the morning, after some very heated debating, Sam used some logic to get a vote directed at Jill. When he went after Dan, Jill said, "Hey, it's probably Sam!" Sam got really emotional and said, "That's the technique Jill used before. If you accuse somebody, she points at the accuser!" Dan lobbied with Jill, saying, "Whoever denied it, Sam, supplied it." Still, Rakesh voted with Sam, and when Dan saw that Jill was going down, he jumped on the bandwagon, trying to defend himself. Jill was hung, and the first werewolf was dead.

Dan then cleverly killed Mark during the night. This made it a question for Rakesh, who held the swing vote, of who the werewolf really was: Sam or Dan. Rakesh hesitated a few moments before voting to hang Dan, who immediately accused Sam of cheating.

The villagers' victory was tarnished, because Dan was right. Sam admitted to cheating. When I distributed the cards, he said he saw the ones that Annie and Dan took. Someone (Karla? Jill?) asked, "Why did you look?" and I stood up for Sam. He's only human.

When I asked Jamie why he lobbied to hang Scott (before changing his vote), he said that he only got a glimpse of Dan's card and wasn't exactly sure if it meant a werewolf or not. Later, when he saw Jill's, he knew for 100% certain, rather than 90%.

It was a lot of fun, and Kaveh, who stayed to see it all through, congratulated me on running it. Thanks!
