Signs of Pregnancy

1) A Missed Period         5) Just "feeling" Pregnant
2) Morning Sickness       6) Increased Urination
3) Tender Breasts          
4) Nausea

Trimesters:

1-3 months is the first trimester.
4-6 months is the second trimester.
7-9 months is the third trimester.

Labor

Signs of preterm Labor

*Go to the hospital if you have any of the following symptoms or if something dosen't feel right:

1) Bad cramps or stomach pains that don't go away.
2) Bleeding, trickle or gush of fluid from your vagina.
3) Increase in the amount of vaginal discharge.
4) Lower back pain/pressure, or a change in lower backache.
5) A feeling that the baby is pushing down.
6) Fever, chills, vomiting or a bad headache.
7) Blurry vision or spots before your eyes.
8) Sudden or severe swelling of your feet, hands or face.
() Contractions, or change in strength/number of contractions.
10) A significant change in your baby's movements.

Signs of Labor

1) "Show"-mucus plug.
2) Your water breaks.
3) Consistent contractions at regular intervals.
4) Changes in your cervix.

Stages of Labor

Stage 1:    This is from the beginning of labor until you are fully dilated. This stage is usually the longest especially with your first child. The last part of this stage is called "transition", and it is the hardest part of labor.

Stage 2:   This is the pushing stage. It lasts from full dilation to birth of your baby. This is the time when you push your baby out.

Stage 3:    This is the placenta stage. It lasts from the birth of your baby to the delivery of the placenta. (The placenta is also called the afterbirth)
