False Teachings

This has been a topic that I have really gotten into in the last several months. In order to for me to defend my faith, I needed to spend some serious time in a study on apologetics. I needed a firm foundational defense for the beliefs that I had. I think a lot of times people accept their place in the church because that is what they are told by their family and friends, but they never really seek to understand for themselves what their faith is all about. For more than twenty years I did not have a faith that was my own. So that's what I did, I went out in search of truth. Was Christianity really the answer? Why not Buddhism? Or Islam? Or Jehovah's Witness? Now my faith in Christ has become real and personal and not something I do because my parents told me to as a child.

Now that I know a life with Christ is truly the only way to heaven, I became interested in knowing exactly what it is that some of these other religions are teaching. So I decided to look into some of the major teachings in the world today. And it has been an eye opening experience to say the least. Brothers and sisters, these people are so far off from the truth. To me it almost seems unreasonable that anyone could hold to these doctrines. But the fact remains, they do. And thousands of people everyday are succumbing to them. If we are going to be able to defend Christianity against these religions we need to know atleast the foundations of what they believe and know why they are false and provide Scripture that proves them false.
