Jeremy Petyr Murdoch

Character's Birth: June 01
Character's Year: 7th

Character’s House: Slytherin
Blood Type: Full

Why is That House Suiting for Your Character? Jeremy is a Slytherin born and bred. His parents were in Slytherin, his sister is in Slytherin, and he would have been ashamed to be anything else.

Describe his/her Physical Attributes:Jeremy is tall, standing at 6'3", and although he's reasonably well built, his muscles thickening especially in the last two years, his height makes him appear somewhat thinner. He has well defined features and black hair like his mother and sister. Also like his sisters are his opaline eyes, blue and green and amber flecked. He has very long eyelashes for a boy, but his jaw and shoulders are too broad for him to appear feminine.

He also has big hands, with long fingers and broad palms. His feet used to appear too big, but now that he's stopped growing, they're much more in proportion to his body and height. He has the well muscled torso and thighs of someone who lifts weight and perhaps does wrestling. This heavier layer of muscle is a recent development. If he hadn't been bitten, chances are that he'd have stayed somewhat gangly.

Describe his/her Personality:Jeremy Petyr Murdoch possesses and incredible strength of will. He fights against the mutation inside him every living day. That's one of the reasons he's been working out, pulling as many weights as he can. He believes he needs to be as strong as he can, both mentally and physically, to try and get the better of the beast within.

Raised by his parents to hate all muggles, Jeremy's view has altered only slightly since his encounter. Now that he knows what it feels like to be shunned (though it's really only his parents who put him on the receiving end of hate), but he's still not quite the type to be empathetic. He believes strongly in the superiority of the wizarding race to the muggles. He wouldn't personally kill one, but he's not as upset about the concept as most would be.

He's not ashamed of the fact that his parents were Death Eaters, and now that it's clearly not an appropriate sort of profession, he aims to be high up in the ministry. He probably will, too, once he graduates. When he's put his mind to something, he always sees it through. Although he's driven by his own quest for success, because of his rock solid determination, he's a very dependable person, in his own way. Perhaps not dependable in the sense that you'd trust him, or that he'd be kind, but dependable in that if he says he'll do something, he'll do it.

Explain his/her History & Background:From the moment he was born, Jeremy Petyr Murdoch was his parents pride and joy. A strong, healthy, good looking and obedient son. He followed his parents instruction, was quick to learn, quick to hate those that they hated, and clearly determined to be someone influential. He was sorted into Slytherin, and made the right friends, and did well in class. He hated muggles.

In the summer preceding his fourth year at Hogwarts, Jeremy and a small group of friends were loitering in the streets of London, playing pranks on muggle children. As they leant against an alley fence, laughing, and resolved to do the same the next week, Jeremy had a premonition of danger, but ignored it. As he separated from his friends, a shadow leapt from behind a dumpster and straight at Jeremy. Crying out, he caught his friends attention, and together with their wands they managed to drive the werewolf off- but not before Jeremy had been bitten on his left forearm. A feeling of dread sank into his stomach, both at the thought of what he would become, and the thought of how his parents would react. Over the next month, he turned the problem over in his mind, but could see no way out. The day before the full moon, he confessed to his sister Caliope, one year his junior.

When he finally began to change, he was locked into his room by his parents, disgusted with him. It took him a few days to recover, after his first transformation. He didn't remember anything of it, but he could see the damage he'd done to his room- damage his parents would not repair for him. It was only several days later, when he knocked on Caliope's door to see why she hadn't been around much recently, suddenly scared that she'd hate him as much as his parents now did. To his horror, he discovered that he'd inflicted terrible injuries on him. Her eyes widened in fear at the sight of him, and for the first time in his life, Jeremy's heart twinged with guilt and remorse.

He knew logically that it was more his parents fault than his, and this made him irreparably angry with them. This was not some worthless muggle kid, this was his sister, a slytherin, and a smart, pretty girl. Everything that the Wizarding society could expect. Most of all, she was a Murdoch!

Becoming a werewolf changed Jeremy, obviously, but not so much as his parents reaction to it. Once he was the perfect son, everything they could dream of boasting about. Now, they didn't mention him, they hardly spoke to him, and they looked at him with contempt. They paid his school fees and fed him, but his allowance was halved, and he was largely ignored by them. He was always sent to a friends house if his parents had people over for dinner. Either that, or he and Caliope would be made to sit in the other room to eat. With her face marred by the scars he had put there, she wasn't fit to be seen by their parents friends either- and it was all his fault.
