Psalm 23
A Psalm of David

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
I want to dedicate this page to my beloved Mom, Minnie Nelson, who left us on June 7, 1997 to be with her Lord and Savior.

The Twenty Third Psalm is Mom’s favorite Bible verse, and I do mean “is”, for she is with her Shepherd.

For You Mom
I love you!!

WHAT IS A MOTHER?

It takes a Mother's LOVE to make a house a home,
A place to be remembered, no matter where we roam.
It takes a Mother's PATIENCE to bring a child up right,
And her COURAGE and her CHEERFULNESS
to make a dark day bright.
It takes a Mother's THOUGHTFULNESS
to mend the heart's deep hurts,
And her SKILL and her ENDURANCE
to mend little socks and shirts.
It takes a Mother's KINDNESS
to forgive us when we err,
To sympathize in trouble and bow her head in prayer.
It takes a Mother's WISDOM to recognize our needs
And to give us reassurance
by her loving words and deeds.
It takes a Mother's ENDLESS FAITH,
her CONFIDENCE and TRUST
To guide us through the pitfalls of selfishness and lust.
And that is why in all the world
there could not be another.
Who could fulfill God's purpose as completely as a MOTHER!

A Letter to Mom

Mom I know that you are so happy and you bask in God’s light.
But I miss your arms around me and your smile so bright.

Mom how can I tell you that I miss you so,
When I know God wanted you more in heaven though.

Mom I wish I could tell you about all that is new,
But yes, I know that God has already whispered it to you.

Mom God took to home for an angel to be,
So please Mom will you please watch over me?

Mom I love you now and I always will,
Can you tell me Mom can you feel my love still?

Mom will you please ask God to take my hurt away,
Till once again we meet on an unknown day.

Mom what a special day that will be,
When once again you will be with me.

Mom on that day will you take my hand,
And walk with me through God’s land.

Mom you can take me where the angels play,
And while we are there we can ask them to pray.

Mom we can pray for our loved ones not here,
And pray that in death they have nothing to fear.

Mom because when they join us on their special day,
We will be here to welcome them and bid them to stay.

Mom until then I have something to say.
I will love you more with each passing day.

Mom continue to hold tight to our Father’s hand,
Until beside you and God I stand.

I love you Mom,,
Your daughter, Mimi

A MOTHERS LOVE

A mothers love is always there, from the time your born,
til you have gray hair.
She’s the one when your small, you look up to,
she’s the one who can fix it all.
She’s a lady when you grow up you want to be,
for she so smart and beautiful,
you pray each night "let that be me."

When you are a teenager, she seems to hard to understand,
her rules seem hard and strong,
it seems to get a tad bit out of hand.
But still you love her, even if you don’t understand,
for she your mother and that’s for sure.

As an adult, your best friend is what she is,
you can talk to her about everything,
you pray God doesn’t take her, even though she is his.

But for now you’ll enjoy all you can,
for she‘s your mom and friend,
and when she’s gone, you’ll have lost your right hand.

I LOVE YOU MOM
