Makoto walked slowly to her apartment. The other senshi had rushed home to tell there
families the truth about their pasts, but who did she have to tell? No one. Her parents
were dead.

Shimatta!" she cried. She broke into a run. She wanted to get to her apartment before the
tears came. It was no use. They were already pouring down her face. She reached her
apartment and went inside. She sat on her couch and cried.

Everyone had their families to go back to, except her. Well, Mamoru didn’t have a family
either, but he had Usagi-chan! Makoto thought. It wasn’t fair.

Makoto got up and walked to her bedroom. On her dresser was a picture of her parents. She
picked it up and stared at it. She thought about how much she loved her parents and how
much they had loved her. As she put the picture back, she got a glimpse of another picture.
It was a picture of Ken.

“He’s like family… That’s why Usagi-chan stressed close friends!” Makoto exclaimed. She
went to her kitchen and dialed Ken’s number as she began pulling out baking ingredients.

“Moshi moshi!” Someone answered.

“Moshi moshi. May I please speak with Ken?” She asked.

“Yes, one moment please.” A few seconds later Ken was on the phone.

“Mako-chan!” He exclaimed. “I’m glad your alright. I called and called you last night
through that storm to make sure you were alright. Why didn’t you answer?” He asked.

“Ken, can you come over now? It’s really important.” She asked.

Uhh, sure Mako-chan. I’ll be right there.”

“Thanks. I’ll see you soon than!”

“Yeah, jya!” They hung up and Makoto began stirring furiously.

A few minutes later the door bell rang.“Come in!” Makoto called, and Ken did.

“Mako-chan! What’s wrong?” he asked. He knew her well enough that if she said it was
important than it was.

“Ken, I have to tell you something that you might find, well, shocking. You see..” She
began. “Maybe you should sit down. Ok, I’m Sailor Jupiter.” There, she thought, it’s out.

“What?” he asked.

“Jupiter Crystal Power! Make-UP!’” Makoto yelled her transformation phrase. Seconds
later Super Sailor Jupiter stood before Ken.

“Wow” Ken said as you stared at her. Jupiter had always been his favourite. Jupiter
powered down and sat down.

“You remember last night’s storm?”“Yeah.”“You couldn’t reach me because I was dead.
I was killed, as Sailor Jupiter, yesterday. All the senshi were, except Sailor Moon.”

“What do you mean?” Ken asked.

“I was killed and Sailor Moon survived. She fought the evil alone to bring us back.
Usagi-chan’s an Angel, you know. A true Angel.” Makoto’s voice trailed off.

“Usagi-chan? Usagi-chan is Sailor Moon? But she’s such a klutz and a space case!” Ken
exclaimed.

“She was only spacey because Mamoru-san was away, well, actually, he was dead too, but
we thought he was in America. She loves him more than life itself.” Makoto said.

“Why are you telling me all of this?”

“When Usagi-chan brought us all back, she told us the time was coming when she would
become Neo-Queen Serenity and we would become her Royal Guard. We decided that we should
tell our families, or close friends the truth, from the beginning. I guess I should start
there, huh?“Ok, when I first transferred to Cross Roads, Usagi-chan was the only one who
would come near me. Than Ami-chan and Rei-chan. Well, shortly after meeting them, I found
out I was Sailor Jupiter. We fought Zoisite, Malachite and Queen Beryl. After we defeated
them we fought Anne and Alan, the two kids who went to our school. They were really aliens.
You see..” Makoto began telling the whole story.

Suddenly the timer on her stove went off. They both jumped.

“I guess the cake’s ready!” Makoto exclaimed. She went and pulled it out, than set it
aside to cool.

“Ok, where was I? Oh yeah! We were all surrounded by fire that not even Neptune’s power
could put out. Eudial began towards the grail. Suddenly, Sailor Moon broke through the
flames. In her battered condition, she raced Eudial to the Holy Grail. It was close, but
Sailor Moon got it. The second she touched it, there was a flash of light and Sailor Moon
was powered up. It wasn’t until later that she was revealed to be the Messiah.” Makoto
continued until she was finished. Ken sat quietly until Makoto was finished.

“Wow!” He said, once she had finished. “That’s quite a story, Mako-chan.” She laughed.

“I know. I told you because I couldn’t tell my parents.” Makoto wiped a tear away from her
cheek. “I still miss them, you know. I really do.”

“I know,” Ken whispered, hugging her. “I know.” He held her until she stopped crying.

Suddenly a beeping sound was heard throughout Makoto’s apartment. She picked up her
senshi communicator from her table.

“Hey Mako-chan! You ok?” Usagi-chan asked.

“Uhh, yeah.” She replied.

“I can see it in your eyes. You are, despite your tears.” Usagi replied. Makoto smiled.

“Thank you, Usagi-chan.”

“Did you tell Ken yet?”

“How did you know I would..?” Makoto’s voice trailed off.

“Why do you think I said close friend?” Usagi asked. Makoto laughed.

“I told him. He’s ok with it. How’d it go with you?”

“My parents are having difficulty understanding their only daughter is the Moon Princess
and the Messiah. Shingo was shocked, though. And my dad is furious that Mamo-chan and I
are destined.” Usagi giggled. Makoto laughed.

“I’ll bet.” Makoto sighed gently. She would never experience her father’s protectiveness
as Usagi so often did.

“There’s a meeting at the temple at 4, ok Mako-chan?” Usagi said.

“Yeah! I’ll be there.” Makoto said.

“See you then.”

“See you then.” Makoto put down her communicator and turned Ken. “How about a piece of that

cake I just made?” She asked.

‘Sure!’ Ken replied and they both got up from the couch to enjoy Makoto’s cake.
