AFTERMATH: MINAKO'S STORY

Minako walked home, slowly. They had just finished fighting Galaxia, well Usagi had,
and now she wanted to see her parents. She wondered how they had handled her disappearance.
She had been gone a day or so. Maybe they never even noticed. She sighed. Artemis would have.
He would have known that she was dead though. When they had all come back, Usagi told them
the time was soon approaching when she would take her rightful place as ruler, and they
would take there rightful places as the Royal Guard. Together, they had decided that everyone
could tell their families or close friends the truth, if they wanted to. Minako did and
was on her way home to do just that. She reached her house and stood on the sidewalk
staring at it.
"I thought I might never see you again." She told it. She began towards her door. When
she reached it she opened the door and entered her house. Her mother was cooking dinner
and her father was no where to be seen. Minako walked into her kitchen.
"Hello Mom." She said. Her mother turned around in surprise.
"Minako-chan! You’re home!" Minako’s mother called her father who came running.
"Minako-chan! I’m so glad you came back! We were so worried!" Her parents hugged her and
Minako was so happy. She loved her parents so much, but she knew she had to tell them the
truth and she knew how much that would hurt them.
"Mom, Dad, there’s something I have to tell you. I think maybe we should sit down." Minako
gestured to the kitchen table.
"Oh my god! You have a boyfriend!" Her dad cried. Minako laughed.
"No dad, not that. In some ways, what I have to tell you is much worse." Minako said.
"You’re pregnant? Please God no!" Her father wailed.
"No! Dad, I’m not pregnant. Please, just let me talk." Minako pleaded.
"Yes. Minako-chan, tell us what it is you need to." Her mother said, smiling.
"Ok, it all started when we were back in England. Do you remember when I came home with
Artemis? You couldn’t understand why I had given him the name of a Goddess instead of a God.
Well, I didn’t choose his name, and Artemis, the Goddess, was named after him. That’s another
story. Anyway, he told me his own name." Her parents gasped.
"He can talk? Minako-chan, are you into drugs?’ Her mother asked.
"No! But yes, Artemis can talk. He has always been able to. In England, there was that warrior,
Sailor V. She had a white guardian cat named Artemis. Mom, Dad, I was Sailor V. I fought the
evil forces there until we moved here. Once we moved here I fought, instead, as Sailor Venus
along side the Sailor Senshi. My destiny is to guard the Moon Princess and her Prince. At first
we fought Zoisite, Malachite and Queen Beryl. Well, when I got here anyway and than…" Minako
told the entire story from beginning to end. When she was finished her father asked,
"Minako-chan, why are you telling this to us now?"
"Because soon I will take my rightful place as the leader of the Royal Guard that is sworn to
protect Princess Serenity and the rest of the royal family. Yesterday I died, along with
Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter. Today, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Uranus,
Sailor Pluto and Sailor Saturn died. Than the Messiah fought to bring us back. She saved
the world. She became an Angel. No, I think she always was an Angel." Minako said.
"Minako-chan, are you serious?" her mother asked. Minako responded by pulling out her
transformation pen and saying
"Venus Crystal Power..Make-UP!"
Shortly after Super Sailor Venus stood before her parents.
"I’m very serious." She told her parents. "I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you before. I wanted to,
but Artemis said I couldn’t. It would endanger you and me. I’m so sorry" Minako began to cry.
"Oh Minako-chan! It’s ok. We understand. You poor thing!" her mother hugged her. Suddenly, a
sharp beep was heard throughout the house. Minako reached into her inter dimensional pocket
and pulled out her senshi communicator. It was Usagi.
"Minako-chan, are you ok?" She asked.
"Usagi-sama! I’m fine" Minako began frantically wiping away her tears. Usagi laughed gently.
"Minako-chan! I know you’re crying. What kind of Princess would I be if I didn’t know when
one of my bestfriend’s was hurt and upset?" Usagi asked.
"I just didn’t want you to feel bad." Minako replied.
"Minako-chan, I understand. I just told my own parents. How do you think they reacted
finding out their only daughter was the Moon Princess and the Messiah?" Usagi giggled.
"Shingo was sure shocked! Well, I’ll leave you to talk with your parents now. I just want you
to know I’m here for you, if you need me. And we have a meeting at the temple at 4, ok?"
"Yeah, sure! I’ll see you then"
"Oh, and uhh, Minako-chan? I’ll always be Usagi-chan, Never -sama. Matane!" Usagi ended the
transmission. Minako smiled.
"Never -sama" She repeated quietly.
"What was that, Minako-chan?" her mother asked.
"Nothing." Minako replied. "I think I’ll go take a shower now, ok?" She asked.
"Sure, dinner will be ready when you get back" Her mother replied.
"Minako-chan, we’re really proud of you." Her father told her.
"Yes, and when you get back you can tell us the story about Artemis!" Her mother said. Minako
laughed and went up the stairs to take her shower.
